If I were to respond to such a situation and then discover that his ‘car’ was a hearse, I’m not sure I could go through with it.

[opens car door, finds Lurch waiting naked] You rang…?

(Actually, with my luck, the occupant would be Thing the disembodied hand, who just wanted to give handjobs.)

    Maybe he’d fist you.

  2. I think sex addiction is an issue in your instance.  There are 12 step programs for that.  I use meth, but I wouldn’t consider myself an addict, but if I’m trying to lay off the shit for a while I make certain I’m not reading stories or watching vids/chatting with other pigs in to meth.  I think the same would apply in your case.  If you’re trying to lay off, you probably need to remove the temptation.  Delete the apps, get off the BB sites, etc.  It can reduce your cravings, but it won’t eliminate them.

Your absolute best plan of action is marriage counseling where you are able to bring up your wanting to open the relationship and what your needs are.

Well guys remember, youths a mask but it dont last. Some of these rude putudowners will be there soon.

This is true, I just hope younger guys reading this thread keep it in mind.  Also, I don’t derive any pleasure thinking of anybody else receiving mental distress.  We can cause each other so much needless pain.

I remember one night I was out and and a friend of a friend said something cruel to a guy at the bar.  I told him immediately that he was rude and he should go apologize.  Of course he was indignant.  I said, well, if this is acceptable behavior in this group I’m out of here and I walked over to the guy and said ‘I’m sorry that he was such an ass to you’.  I no longer have room for mean people in my life.

I love how all older bottoms united in grief here. And there are practically no tops talking as they are aware of this in-group discrimination and that they are responsible for it, meanwhile the twink bottom is looking at this and thinking "I have loads of time before I need to worry about this." Only if one could truly understand how fast time flies before it has actually flown away.

I know for me it was around age 33/34.  I’m still told I’m handsome, but there’s expectations of me.  I don’t get as much sex as I once did, but the sex I do get is very enjoyable.  The trick is not to let your sexual attractiveness be what gives you your self esteem.

And for those who aren’t in to older bottoms a simple ‘sorry, not interested’ is sufficient.  Some of the turndowns can be quite cruel.  Not me, I rarely initiate, but I’ve some some horrific put downs at bars/sex clubs from others.  We all need to be nicer.

  5. My recommendation is to scope out the cruisy area first, scope it out in the daylight, and look for the obvious signs of where cruising happens, the small packages of lube, possibly condoms (some str8 men still use them) etc.  Just get a feel for the space before you have any expectation for a hookup.

  6. As gay men we base so much on looks, that if you’re fit and trim and he has an average bod (or worse) he’s going to automatically think that you’re out of his league.  I remember in college I had a friend who was funny but shy and he never was successful when we went out to bars (this predates the internet).  I joked that he had a choice to make, work on the shyness (the rest of his personality was great) or make a shit ton of money.

    Yeah, he’s loaded now.

  7. If it’s a blind date or somebody you met in a coffeeshop type situation, I think the first time you meet I’d work it in to the conversation.  If things aren’t going so hot on the date, it wouldn’t be necessary, but if you feel a spark, then yes.  Just say, ‘hey, I think you need to know I’m poz, on meds and undetectable’ and let him process the information any way he needs to.
