  1. Feeling any better with the fever?
  2. I contracted meningitis back in 2007 in South Florida; it had the exact symptoms of Hiv; i ignored it as a regular flu and it literally almost killed me! 8 gay men died in NYC from menengitis last year; i dont know if we are a prone to it due to anal sex (which is amazing!!!) or just having a weaker imune system by trying to stay thin like i did back then, howerer take one final Hiv blood test; they have the 3 week window period one that is very accurate, are you having any other symptoms other than a high fever?
  3. Are you really having a fever everyday? Could it be like a meningitis type infection? Usually a continuous fever can indicate your body fighting us a rare infection.
  4. Where fo you live? It usually depends on where you live; i know even though im on Prep; to avoid most of NY, FL, and South Cali; those are the areas with the highest sti rates
  5. Has any of you guys experienced knee pain or or a feeling of like heart burn, or slight pain in the chest are as a side effect? Ive been on Prep since 3/31 and have noticed these issues; im just not sure if they occur only when i take the pill on an almost empty stomach of a full meal
  6. Really? I live in Salt lake city and its kinda a drag to get alot of decent looking guys to boink, i might have to visit Los Angeles and San Francisco soon!
  7. I have Humana, and was also offered the pharmacy mail in order where my insurance pays 75% if Prep is mailed in to me, my doctor assistant printed out my gilead card with 3,600 for the year covering the remainder of the 25% leaving me short of $900, so ill have to pay 25% two months of the year, gilead did not request any income information: so you should speak with the clinic as to having the mail in option and also the co-pay card, anyone qualifies. Sorry just noticed your Medicare coverage, ill have to look into the options for that.
  8. Thanks for all the info and insight bearbandit; appreciate it
  9. Are you sure lol? I wonder what percentage of protection i have with 4 pills, i looked online and its between 75% - 92% but having blood contact really scared me; i should have brought lube just in case....
  10. I didnt have one, i never have actually, and i stopped fucking right away after i noticed the blood and washed off, i will consider the double dosage, thanks for the advice
  11. So finally after getting insurance, abstinence and getting everything set up; i started Prep March 30th, promised myself id wait till this Tuesday april 5th id wait to try having sex again; then i started talking to this guy on grindr; ended up going to his place last night just to meet and greet, one thing led to another and i ended up just "poking" him; we did not have lube and after i pull out i discover the horror of blood on my dick; at this point i was on pill #4 and shy of 3 more pills to have high levels of protection; he claims he's neg, and i washed off with soap and water very quickly; but im very worried and stressed, and mad at myself for not being more careful considering i only had 3 more days to go!! Anyone can advise me what my ridk level would be? Im just concerned about the 7 day waiting period, thanks
  12. This is exciting news! Now we'll all have to plan a Canadian PREP party to seed & breed, woof i need a Canadian vacation!
  13. Yes i heard about the lesbian case; but there was blood involved, and lots of it; that was the main reason.
  14. I wonder if he seroconverted bottoming for a high viral load? Im primarly a top; but ive been really excited about going fully vers once im on prep; its still a mistery to me if tops are at the same risk as bottoms at this point.
  15. Im very confused regarding this case; they are saying the individual lives in Toronto, Canada, and was on PREP for 24 months; first of all PREP is not even approved in Canada for preventive use; how is it possible someone in Canada has been on PREP for 24 months? It would make more sense if it was an American case...?
  16. Oh believe me you must be cautious i caught 3 dudes lying about being on PREP on A4A if im meeting up with someone who states neg/prep first thing i demand is to see medication upon meeting; if they cannot provide the proof; its off!
  17. Ive probably 69 rimmed or sucked 500+ Dudes in my lifetime and so far only got HPV seems that one is pretty easy to get; i wouldnt have known i had it if it werent for some tiny warts in my butt, 2 years later and my body cleared the virus; which i cannot explain because up until that point i had used condoms everytime bottoming; id rather catch an sti than do oral with a condom, what kind of sex is that anyways?!! I think siphylis & herpes are the ones that scare me most; but... You only have one sex life to live; so live it!
  18. Wow sounds like youre having a well deserved lots of fun! Have u had any other STI issues? Ive been topping more raw lately (been on prep 6 months) but still dont have the courage to bottom raw; eventually i think ill drop my inhibitions; id love a 3some where im in the middle to start!!
  19. Personally for me the biggest reward is not having to worry, get paranoid and stressful for weeks; because as you guys can remember there is up to a 3 month window period with Hiv tests; even if you tested negative; it didnt necessarily mean you are NEG; this is perhaps one of the biggest thrills of my life... Considering sex is by far my favorite hobbie! And since 2004 all ive done is worry myself sick with what ifs? I had an experience with a guy where everything was safe, till the end when i was pounding him he shot his load straight in my eye! Prove's youre never "safe" enough, but now i am thanks to PREP.
  20. So ive noticed alot of websites and hookup sites now feature guys on PREP and use is increasing daily; i figured we could all give input as to how much sex and less fear, or side effects we have experienced since going on the meds mine input goes as follows: More BB sex as a top Less stress and fear of converting Still unsure about bottoming Swallowing more loads (was fearful of that before also) Not too concerned about status; but discuss it depending on situation Most guys dont even care if im on PREP or not; they just want a load. I do howerer find myelf worried about other STI's but i figure i can deal with those. My favorite part of the whole experience is being sexually fear free for the first time in 10 years! No side effects so far...any one else interested in input let us know
  21. Its not the amount of guys you fuck; it is basically the ones that say "clean u b 2" meaning the high viral load crowd that never gets tested but go around saying im "neg" so the bottom line is; it is not the amount of dudes you sleep with; it is the amount of you bottom for that have a high viral load
  22. I really dont believe in "becoming" poz with condoms! Ive used them for 12 years without a single problem; and dont tell me the condom ripped, condoms make a very distinctive sound when they ripped; you have to watch out for that
  23. So are you actually saying you became POZ on PREP? This would be the second case ive heard off in 1 month; another guy became poz on prep and shared his experience on the poz.org forum; how long were u on prep before converting? Give us a few details; i hope these cases do not become the norm.
  24. Ok please keep us posted regarding your tests; im sure everything will turn out ok.
  25. Whats the reason you are concerned about PREP not working? Have you had any symptoms or felt sick? Its protected you this long; im sure youre still Neg, maybe in your mind its hard to accept it works like i did at first? Ive only topped on PREP so ive never been concerned about a possible poz load in my ass, its gonna be ok; keep us posted
