Hey everyone. I recently got in touch with people on this forum to compile an academic paper on modalities and drives in chasing and giving, focusing on how people see it as completive of their lived experience rather than a diminishing behaviour. The piece was very well received and I have now received a proposal to turn it into a long form piece for a good publication. Let me be clear: your anonymity is sacrosanct. I'd use double acronymised aliases for your identities (John Smith become Adam Butler i.e. AB). There is growing consensus, even in mainstream approaches to sex, that PrEP can revolutionise how we think about immunity/impurity/disease, and how this will change our ideas of HIV, sex, queerness, and so on. Should you be so inclined, I can also use your full name. In my experience, people tend to be most revealing when protected by anonymity. I want to know as much as possible. I am based in London UK and am available to interview you in person/embed with you whatever you do. Get in touch, and stay happy

The subject matter was an academic investigation of bugchasing/giftgiving and its structures. The study has been well received, so I'd like to thank you whether you've taken part or not, and whether you've thought about participating or not. The reason I am writing again is because the few journalistic pieces out there about bugchasing are depressingly condescending and pathologising. In short, they see this as 'crazy'. I wish to challenge that notion, and need as much information as possible to do it. I plan on doing a long-form piece on the subject, and need more contributions. Please get in touch if you'd like to share your experience. Please note that your anonymity will be fully guaranteed. The study is in gender theory and explores the reasons, hierarchies, and structures in which individuals act as bugchasers or giftgivers. I have no bias to the story and am simply looking to amplify your voices. Your anonymity is sacrosanct, and I do not plan on using any information you choose to give me, if not to situate your stories within the paper. Your name won't be used (you will be assigned two random initials), as won't your age, contact details, anything. I am simply interested in why, if you have an answer, you chase or give.
