It's better if you stay at one of the gay friendly sex hotels esp if you've never been to one. Otherwise it's just a bunch of sponsored sex parties that all play out as they usually do. The website makes it seem like each party is themed and special but they aren't really. The only other worthwhile experience is the big circus party, only because everyone goes that so it was an entire nightclub dance floor filled with fucking. So if you go plan to go to that one and stay at a gay hotel. Also if you're going to meet people it's a very social and friendly week. I wouldn't stay the full week unless you already live in the area or really want to make friends.

I recently tried both. Enjoyed the clientele at both, but if I had to choose it would be Pleasuredome. The staff is better. Sweatbox staff was a bit too ornery. Very uncomfortable for a first timers. Likely wouldn't return to either due to excessive surveillance measures. Not what I'm used to in American saunas. Pleasuredome has CCTV cameras everywhere in facilities, which would be very illegal in America. Had I known would not have gone. Sweatbox suspiciously doesn't accept cash (so don't go if you don't want transaction on your card or card on file or travel fees) and had too many silly rules and security measures for my comfort. Once you change nude you have to present yourself to them to make sure you're dressed appropriately. Can't bring your own shoes, socks or anything. If you break the rule they'll call you out in front of everyone and tell you to go back and put away whatever. There is an actual gate you have to scan into before you can actually go in. Too many silly rules and barriers and staff just itching to call you out. The clientele was the best thing for both. I went on the weekends. Sweatbox was busy all night into morning.

2 hours is not enough, but I counted being topped by 22 stallions. Some of those could be repeats. I asked how many stallions showed up and they told me around 40 something so I got topped by about half the stallions. Only 1 definitely came, maybe one more, but most just pound for a while then move on. Agree it's not worth being the only thing you do. It's very one and done. I talked to another mare after who hated it and said he left early because he was put in a bad spot and wasnt getting any takers. He took off his hood and left and said he noticed a lot of mares had their hoods off or half on. I never took mine off. Toward the end one of the stallions tried to rip mine off (I guess by then no one cared) but I wanted to stay true to the experience and kept it on. It was my first time and got the impression that most guys that show up are regulars and pretty lax on the rules. overall I crossed horse fair off the bucket list and liked it. If I could change anything it would be make it longer, and actually enforce the rules.

I went to the June event. Enjoyed it. Got a couple dozen dicks. I heard guys took off their hoods at the end but I kept mine on the whole time. 2 hours went by fast.

Anyone know which of the host hotels are best for outsider cruising? Can't get a room in one of the gay host hotels but plan on cruising them at some point if I can get in.

Not HIPAA but I agree it's a strange policy. None of the other groups opening up are doing this. The biggest issue is they not only want vaccination proof, but you have to prove its been 2 weeks after the second dose. Vaccine didn't open up to all of nyc until April, which means most guys won't be fully vaccinated until June. Haven't been but that has to mean most of the men attending that party are older guys who had access to the vaccine first and then people who happened to be in those other groups that got prioritized like EMTs and nurses. I also have a problem with parties that require you to show ID or reveal your real name, keeps all the "discreet" guys away. never the less I wouldn't expect a lot of diversity if you go before mid or late june. -

Check the numbers in your area. No kissing. Mask the whole time. Stay away from groups. Should use a condom for sucking. I waited until the numbers were low and things were opening up before I started hooking up. Wanted to try it in this window before a second wave hit and everything shut down for another 6 months. A regular party host hosted something in a park and invited everybody on his email list. I went to that. There were at least 30 guys in the park late at night.
