The hysteria of jtonic

In my judgement the new user (& newly poz user) that came on the site recently, jtonic, was so over the top in his hysteria that he wasn't for real. He was basically spamming the site with the same concept in every post - and not really listening to what people were telling him. I've banned him for 3 days. On the off chance he was for real in 3 days he will have thought things through and his discussion should be more cogent.

I realize some of you may disagree with what I've done. So be it. I've seen all sorts of weirdos come on the site over the years trying to disrupt the flow of things. jtonic was a bit more subtle, but still quite disruptive. Everything he needed to hear was stated already. It's not like anything new was going to be said.

If he is for real, I wish him well. But Breeding Zone needs to get back to it's ordinary mix of activity.

I reached out and will communicate with him off-site. I am part of a group of Poz guys who offer one-on-one peer support to the newly diagnosed.

I will probably talk with him sometime tomorrow. I'll report back with my assessment of extremely scared guy with very little knowledge of HIV, or brain dead twit trying to wind us up.

He reached out to me on Facebook last night. I was just about thinking he was for real when I noticed his FB profile was started last month. Something just doesn't feel right about him. And he's disruptive.

started his fb profile last month that is odd unless he has been living in north korea or was in prison for years.

I've reinstated him with a huge warning. If you see him do anything weird or disruptive hit the little triangular "Report Post" icon under the post and let me know.

RT you're on FB? I Always wonder how to add contacts like you (or pornstarns I am interested in) to my FB account without friends and family know....Mind you, I am a "simple"FB user......Only use it to stay in touch with my friends in Gran Canaria.

Hi, the ban was a huge wake up call for me.

I had turned to this forum to connect with poz guys.

Losing this connection for even a day made me realize a few things.

Mainly, support is there around you if you look and accept it, and no amount of distress can excuse erratic behavior.

So, after lots of crying, a night of sleep, and a coffee this morning (decaf for me), I will only say this for now:

- rawTOP, thanks for reinstating my account.

- I appreciate everyone's support, even though I didn't necessarily deserve it.

- I've gone back to some of my posts, and I totally see how disruptive I was. I apologize for that.

- I was indeed having panick attacks yesterday. I stopped listening (and reading), wasn't being rational anymore, didn't have a shoulder to cry on, and that made it worse.

- I just needed to chill out. I'm ok now. Still worried of course, but most questions have been answered.

- I followed some of your recommendations and got in touch with a social worker, also made an appointment for a psychologist.

- Finally, I have a doctor appointment coming up next Wednesday to find out my viral load (they took blood samples 2 weeks ago).

- seaguy: I can explain the 'month-old' FB account. I created it the same day I got my diagnosis, mainly because I'm not 100% out and thought it would be a discreet way to connect with other guys.

- hungry_hole: I will reply to you privately; thanks for reaching out.

- Poz1956: thanks for adding on Skype and giving me all the documentation and facts.

- As rawTOP said, most answers are already out there. I was just too frazzled to pay attention (to my own detriment).

- Everyone who sent me private messages since yesterday: thank you.

Really, the biggest 'cold shower' moment - the comment that snapped me out of my fear - was a private message from fillmyholeftl.

He said "You are letting HIV take control over you".

It was also the last thing I saw before I got banned.

That really knocked me in place.

I won't lose control again. It wasn't worth it.

Regards.

Welcome back. You'll be just fine man. When I first seroconverted, the best thing I did was befriend a poz guy (no sex) and I asked him a million questions. Once I calmed down and became undetectable, he started planting his seed in me. Still in touch to this day.

You will be fine, but you got to relax a bit, and think about some other stuff. If you workout, its a great time to do so. If not, its a great time to take it up. When I am feeling lost I go for a long run or bike ride.

Online resources are great, but eventually getting out in the real world will help more. As for on here, gather your thoughts and then post concise threads if you have them. This forum can be slow sometimes so if omeone doesnt respond right away that doesnt mean they are not going to, it just may take a few days. You are not going anywhere, a few days for an answer may seem like an eternity right now, but later it will seem like nothing.
