Campaigning against the condom advocates

The efforts to pass legislation requiring use of condoms in porn in some parts of California are worrying. Paul Morris is using his Treasure Island Media website to highlight the issue and expose some of the key protagonists. Some of these are also fighting the use of PrEP. They are like prudish priests. It is bad for the local economy if films are no longer made in California and it is bad for the performers, who know best how to look after their health, if they have to move. There is also Europe where excellent bare back porn is produced.

Mel, I think it is ridiculous that this is happening. I don't think politics belongs in the porn industry. I live in Cincinnati and it is the conservative bastion of the US. Up until about 15 years ago, the local county sheriff was always bickering with Larry Flynt about selling Hustler magazine. It was so childish. Adults can make up their own minds. I feel like porn stars should be able to bareback if they so choose. Those of us that prefer bareback do so knowing the risks. That is our call not the governments.

I think part of the issue is that porn stars are often coerced, one way or another, into being ok with bare dick. Not that we should necessarily ban it, or require condoms, or whatever, but the problem is never quite as clear cut as you make it out.
