I'm neg and have been fucked raw my whole life, lucky I didn't catch the bug after meeting my partner and learning about and seeing all the HELL he went through when he became POZ.  It's not a pretty disease and you will die a sad, lonely, miserable death without meds. No big deal? Well wait until you get full blown and then come on here when you can't walk, talk or even communicate and wearing a shit filled diaper and say how happy you are to have HIV and full blown AIDS. Yeah, raw sex is great and it's all I do, but you who glamorize it haven't seen or felt the pain my brothers have had when full blown and died. None of them became heroes, and you won't either.  But I'm still getting fucked raw by my POZ UD bf and who knows what will happen.

Poz n Proud! Wanted to get HIV coz poz guys are hotter, porno films from TIM make it look cool, and wanted to bareback for life.

So I got my HIV and really enjoy living with it, poz guys are better inbed, we all love a sleazy Bareback fuck, and we push the limits with sex.

I'm happy with my poz life, I find POZ guys way more attractive and it's just cool

I've stumbled across this thread and had a lot of feelings about it. First, a little about me.  I'm 60 and I have taken thousands of loads since before anyone even knew there was such a thing as HIV or AIDS.  I go back to the real bathhouses, dark rooms and porn theaters, like the Adonis, in NYC. My feelings have changed over the years.  There were periods I refused to get tested. There were periods I ask about status and periods where I didn't and periods where I actively took poz guys loads because it was hot.

At this point in my life I have very many thoughts that I think came to me as a result of age.

I am fortunate I guess to still be negative. I also have a bit of survivors guilt because by all rights I should have died of AIDS back in the early 80s. I don't really know why me, but I guess I feel whatever the reason I was meant not to convert. About two years ago I went on prep after wavering. There is apparently a small group of people from Eastern European descent that are supposedly immune.  I wondered whether I was one of them and whether going on prep would affect that, but I decided to go ahead.

I no longer get the quantity of loads I used to. It has become less important although I still crave them and don't turn them down. I know barebackinf was my way of searching for intimacy. I'm glad that over time I have discovered emotional intimacy as well.

Maybe im jaded by feeling I should be poz, but it breaks my heart when I hear that neg guys shy away from dating poz guys. I find poz guys as open if not more so than neg guys. In some ways I'd rather date or sleep with a poz guy. They seem to be able to be more intimate in some ways. I feel worse for the neg guys who don't date or play with poz guys because they miss out on some very special men.

No doubt there may be some negative sides, but I just feel POZ and PROUD and happy about it, I have always been a pig into sex so when I was pozzed up I just felt like I became a REAL pig.

A really interesting thread. Obviously not read all of it, but it's given me much to think about as a neg chaser. A lot of different views and opinions, although the pull of poz is still very powerful for me.

I dont think you will stay negative for long, it is just a matter of time before you will be POZ and PROUD ;)

I'm just curious - on a day-to-day basis, do you like being poz or not like it? In other words, do the pros outweigh the cons or vice versa? On the plus side, the sex is probably better, but then all the medical stuff can be a hassle...

On a day to day basis, being poz doesn't really affect me beyond taking a pill.  The going to the doctor every 3-6 months gets annoying, but you learn to live with it.  The only real pro to it is that you don't have to worry about catching it anymore.  I'm not one that gets off on my status or anyone else's.  I never have, so I don't really understand the chaser mentality.  Why anyone would want to have to take medicine everyday and get blood tests every 3-6 months is beyond me.  It can be expensive and time consuming some times.  Would have changed my behaviors had I known I'd pop poz?  Maybe, but probably not permanently.  Had PrEP been available when I was younger, I certainly would have taken advantage of it!

Mixed feelings here. I didn't chase. Was stealth pozzed. On the one hand I love bareback sex and my sex is hotter being a poz man (not sure why, it just is). But I do worry about the cost of meds, long-term health issues, etc. If I were still neg I'd definitely go on PreP, fuck bare and stay neg.

I’e had my HIV for 2 years now, after chasing it I’m so proud to identify as a poz gay man that I’m working with HIV charities to smash sigma round HIV.

Personally I love being poz n proud! Sex life is amazing now, only fuck poz guys, happy pushing limits and the best thing is no more worrying, got my HIV already, when I fuck I’m in the moment and not worrying about STIs. I’m not on meds so no problem with taking them. When I found out I was on Grindr that afternoon finding a poz fuck. I told The doc I was relieved to have it cos I love to bareback and now I’m poz I can fuck and not worry about STIs.

Getting HIV is the best thing EVER! For me it’s all been worth it, I’m not worried about AIDS, coz I’m waiting for my CD4 to drop then start meds. The old way of doing it. Which means I can enjoy my HIV and share it with gays who like me wanna become sleaze in bed. The best thing hands down is sex as a proud poz man! The connection about sharing the poz cum, pushing limits cos you already got HIV, and it’s turned me sleazy too!

It’s the same way once you get syphilis.... I had it three years ago, and still have the six month blood checks. It gets annoying after a while!

Syphilis can be cured, HIV can't. However I'm proud and poz
