Then there's periods where I have had few sex partners and I know exactly who I've had sex with and then bam I caught something. The thing people forget is that you can be in a relationship and have just one partner, but if he is out there screwing around, he can give what he's got to you. Long rambling story: I had a partner tell me he came down with gonorrhea from me. He topped me 19 days ago, only told me four days ago via Scruff which I didn't read until yesterday, though he has my number and Facebook. I've had no symptoms of anything. Can't get into my doctor until next week anyway. The two other guys I've been with since haven't mentioned anything. They also topped me bare. There was a guy 9 days before him. He's "straight/bi", young, and I doubt he gets tested for various reasons (like "what's that [my Truvada] and why do you need it if you don't sleep around all the time" and "only topping" and "rarely" and "straight"). I've topped by boyfriend and cum in him a few times since all of this and he's had no symptoms and nothing in his blood work from his recent doctor visits. The timeline seems to be pushing it, no symptoms, plus he isn't exactly honest about when he's been with someone ("it's been months" became "there was a guy two weeks before you and he's negative"). Also, I've been ignoring his repeated requests to get together again; he's just a one-time guy for me. So yeah. Playing safe than sorry but it doesn't quite add up. SoCalBBversbttm Posted November 5, 2015 Report Share Posted November 5, 2015 So I am recuperating from rectal LGV Chlamydia. This is not the same thing as regular Chlamydia. In addition to having blood in my stool, my rectal lips being prolapsed when going to the bathroom (and being constipated), heavy mucus discharged and having severe difficulty in urinating when sitting. It also developed into proctitis - what a pain in the ass! Literally, a rectal swab was excruciating painful. I initially thought this was a bad hemmorhoid. After going to an Urgent Care clinic, who referred me to a Proctologist (who told me he thought I had herpes, Gonno and Chlamydia and treated me with one round of antibiotics), I finally went back to my Doctor, who is a HIV and Infection Disease specialist, who diagnosed it. It has taken two rounds of 3 week doses of azithro to bring it under control. Not fun at all. The disease is more common in Central and South America, but I caught it in LA. You should know that my urine tests showed negative for Chlamydia, but not rectal. Point being make sure you get checked often and if something doesn't seem right down there make sure they do alternative tests to be sure. Oh, still on PrEP and HIV-. The pain was excruciating, like being kicked in the balls over and over again. They gave me morphine in the ER just to shut me up. There was a brief worry that one of my nuts had somehow twisted around, cutting off the flow of blood. If that had been the case, I might very easily have lost it. Happily, it was only an infection of some kind. The urologist didn't say anything about it being an STD. Apparently, these things can happen on their own. Antibiotics cleared it up; indeed, I started feeling better (through the morphine haze) almost as soon as I took the first dose. Not an experience I'd care to repeat though. Worst pain of my life.
