TIM has been going downhill for a while IMO.. they've been re-releasing a bunch of old porn - which for someone who owns just about their entire catalogue, really does nothing for me. A couple of scenes in this release were also shot many years ago, but haven't been released until now (it’s obvious by the dated camerawork). They used to pump stuff out quite regularly, but lately it’s been every 2 or 3 months.

 

Liam Cole is no longer making porn for them (which he told me directly, and is contrary to Max Sohl replying to one of my comments ON THE VERY SAME DAY that Liam had a new movie coming "soon"). Their biggest problem is that they think their customers are idiots. Good luck if you post a critical comment on their website or one of their social pages, because it's deleted just as quickly. It's 2016 guys - we have the internet, we can Google shit if necessary, so stop pretending everything's going great when it clearly isn't.

 

I can identify with SOME of what Paul wrote, but the majority of it is plain scary. I loved Liam's movies because they were shot in real apartments/alleys/clubs/wherever, and were a reflection of what real guys are actually doing in their lives. I learnt about myself watching TIM porn, and realised that I liked to bareback and that there was space within the world for me to enjoy it. Talking about "sex magick" and our "demonic evil" however - Paul either thinks he's the second coming of Aleister Crowley, or he's only in touch with a very niche group of gay men (which either way will hurt his business).

 

I’ve begged Liam to keep making porn, because it really was the best on the market (and the best for TIM’s sales). Paul needs to get his head out of his ass, or he’ll wind up like Damien Silver in a few years, making very niche porn that almost no one buys.

 

Liam does have a TIM release not yet out it seems to be taking longer than usual to get it edited fdor a release.

TIM has always had an active interest in what many would consider fringe communities. Bareback sex/porn was at one point fringe (and still is to many), but that's changing rapidly, and TIM's success was definitely a part of the impetus for that. It isn't shocking that the men who appear in his videos bring alternative voices from outsider communities.

 

Queer witches and faeries exist (and have appeared in TIM), the term “sex magick” is not particularly new and the ideas it seeks to express are not entirely foreign to many, there's simply a gap between those ideas and the term. “Demonic evil” for me seems to stem more from embracing terminology that is used against you, in the same way “faggot” can be subverted as a term of endearment. There is certainly an active group of people who believe that any queer sex is literally demonic evil, and that voice has been strong and painful and damaging to so many.

 

The title “We are Coming for You” (“We are Cumming In Spite of You”) is a political statement of resistance. Despite what the religious right, homonormative behavior, or any other oppressive force has to say, the act of coming/cumming can be a way of fighting that oppression.

 

Whether or not it succeeds at this mission (Can sex ever truly be revolutionary?), or if the porn is even actually good, is another story.

I watched "We are coming for you" last night. I did not think it was that big of a deal. Maybe slightly raunchier than most of their past titles but only slightly more. I was actually disappointed in the video because the lighting was really dark throughout most of the video. I sort of felt like the production values were quite sloppy.

TIM used to be edgy and underground, but bareback has become so mainstream, TIM is starting to look conventional next to the competition. I think I've seen kinkier bareback sex from Eric Videos or Raw Fuck Club then most of TIM's material in the last 2-3 years. That said, TIM still has some of the best gangbang scenes ever filmed (as in, one bottom getting bred by a group of tops). They used to have a 'reality feel' to it, as if you're witnessing a sex party from start to finish or watching someone's home video. 

 

 

But lately, their material feels scripted or way too edited. That includes Liam Cole's latest (Public Meat). A scene like Freddy Gangbang sounds so hot when you describe it, but the end result feels off. They're trying too hard to edit their footage into something new.
