I was wondering if I will even be able to take any of the medications in the event I test positive? Theo8 Posted March 14, 2017 Report Share Posted March 14, 2017 I have liver issues as well. I've been Atripla for years now. The only side effect I've had is elevated cholesterol but Lipitor takes care of that. However, I doubt a doctor would start you on Atripla since there are a few newer meds that they seem to be pushing. I was on Triumeq briefly and it wrecked my liver. Unfortunately, with liver problems, it's trial and error. One thing may be okay for you but not for me.
