Notification of new messages is sent by email-how to change?

I've found that I am notified of messages from fellow bz members to me by an email sent to my external account. How can I change this setting so that I am notified by new messages only within the bz system. I'd prefer that no communications are sent to my external email address unless absolutely necessary. Thanks!

Quite easy, mate - but it's on your own to solve this slight prob, simply use this instruction:

1) Go to Activity  => Content I follow

Depending on how many discussions you've choosen to follow, you might have to scroll a time, and at the bottom to go to show more till there is no more activity to show.

2) For every headline which is showing up, open it in a new tab, and there open the Following tab. There you take a look which circle is marked. If An Email when ... is active, change to Do not send ... and confirm (update the prefs) the change on this page. Done :)

Hope this helped a bit.

Create a "sleaze" email account on Yahoo or Hotmail for instance to use that for sites like this and update that in your profile here. Messages or emails will then be sent to that account which you can check when it is safe to and not show up in your more public email account.
