And from married or straight guys I've hooked up with over the years, a big part is being able to really be as aggressive as they want but are afraid to do with a woman.  A guy might want to get really nasty with shit-talking or rough sex or have someone gag on them, but they are loath to do that to a girlfriend or wife.  Hooking up and getting blown by or getting some hole from a fag is simple, they don't have to worry about the chit-chat and posturing that a lot of women, even wives and girlfriends, expect before they give it up.  I think "straight" men like using fags not because they are gay or bi, but because they like being dominant.

For the "straight" guys I've been with it's either one of three reasons.

1) Their respective other isn't putting out. If they aren't then guys are gonna try the fastest and easiest way to cum and that's normally with a man. It's quick, discreet and they can go right back into their straight life afterward.

Whenever someone says to me "You must be gay because you prefer to have sex with men" I remind them that it's no really that I am "attracted" to men but more to the way men like having sex: anonymous, NSA, fetishes, group and drama-free action (no jealousy or shit like that). Interesting. I've had plenty of opportunity to be with women, but not really had strong enough desire to go through with it. I was married to a woman for a big chunck of my life, so have had plenty of man/woman sex, but she is the only woman I have ever been with. 

Two opportunities that stand out to me are a woman I dated right after my divorce. I thought I might be Bi, so I didn't limit my dating to men. Any women I have dated have not been heteronormative though. The first woman was a German visiting professor. She was teaching womens studies at UI. She was lesbian one of the primary leaders of the lesbian community in Germany and she shifted and discovered one day that she wanted to be with a man. I liked her and she wanted sex with me, but I just didn't feel it, so she moved on because she wanted sex.

The other was a woman to man transgender person. I really liked this person a lot, but despite my cerebral acceptance of this person being a man in a womans body, there was something about him that just reminded me of being with a woman (besides the vagina).
