truvada in exchange for...

Recommended Posts

Nothing is free my friend. Medical is tax-payer funded. Meds and dental are not covered at all. Not to mention PReP isn't even covered by many private insurance plans. In Ontario you can get on the Trillium Drug Benefit, but it has a deductible based on your yearly income (truvada is still very expensive even with that).

Good news though! Gilead's patent on Truvada expires in July. PReP should become much cheaper in August as other companies will be able to make "generic" Truvada without having to pay Gilead.

PREP (Truvada) is available free of charge to all residents of Ontario at no cost other than the usual dispensing fee of 12-15$
