Obviously my interests, and i'd assume most dudes here would be the same, are on the more extreme side...

But i've just found that TIM hasn't made a great movie since Sick Fucks. Their recent, "Bone Ready," was okay but didn't really capture the magic of what the studio had going. They had Kenny's Raw Fucks which was basically only hot because of Kenny's commentary and otherwise was shrug worthy.

I remember when TIM used to be a boundary pusher, and the most extreme porn site. Now i'm not even sure what id recommend.

Much of gay porn is 'tame' because it's aspirational and intended for mass-market sales and consumption.  

Studios like TIM are made for niche markets. They can explore other facets of gay sexuality because they don't have to try to appeal to everyone. Their aesthetic is part of that, much more documentary-style. 

I think of them as guys like me having sex like I do.  I'll watch an average production of theirs instead of a Falcon epic any day.  

And with videographic technology literally in the palm of everyone's hand,  guys are making their own. You're free to do that any time you want, and post it for others to enjoy.  

I'm finding great stuff on Tumblr these days. Take off your pants and start exploring.

It's so true. The stuff on Tumblr is leaps and bounds ahead of the industry really. I hope the age of Sean Cody and stuff is over because that kind of porn puts me to sleep

TIM back in the mid '00s helped move me toward the desire to abandon condoms (which I did in '06), and I agree that they were on the edge of male sexuality, and I loved that. One of the things I always respected about TIM was the way they had black men in their films without fetishizing them or trying to portray them as "thugs," and shit. They were years ahead of most studios - some still are trash about it - when it came to how they portrayed stuff. I also agree that it was awesome that alot of the dudes in their films werent models. I agree with a lot of what you guys have said, though I think with TIM, some of the videos by Liam Cole are still edgy and good.

I agree with straight porn being more edgy, but I think the reason is, as  some have said that when you are seeing the all the guys fuck a girl, most guys dont care what the guys look like as much, so they can fuck with abandon.
