Just looked at xtube and its full of half-working links and early 90's website graphics.   Not sure but I have a major feeling the "dark web" will see a major uptick in activity to see, read and digest porn here soon.

I know there are places on the darkweb but do we know any specific alternatives? DarkNet or LightNet?

Just checked my favorite porn site "xtube" and it looks like horrible.  The formatting "white screen" and small half-time non-working links is a major buzz kill for me.

That's odd, looks the same to me....

I guess that is one of those things now that, like many before it, first originated in US and now gotten to be continuing from places offshore, because it got squeezed out of its original <hahum> market for <whatever> challenging reason without a stand-by spare at hand. Not exactly economics, a manufacturing job or material product, but nevertheless - same general framing instigated by newly-shoved legalese. It so happens it just hadn't been picked up there yet, if it ever would be. I hope it would be. Things are reactive, not proactive ATM. And I am sure people will figure it out domestically as well, things will shift around, and there will be Personals 2.0 somewhere.

Yeeeaah...

From what I'm reading, the House voted for this bill 388-25 and the Senate 97-2. Plenty of Dems fucked it up for us too.

But the Congress doesn't even read bills, much less consider unintended consequences. They probably just heard "stop sex traffickers" and made a knee-jerk decision.

Purpose of the bill is to stop sex trafficking. Craigslist shut down it's personals due to potential misuse. It's the fuck over the many because of a few. I can't say I would blame Trump/pence for this. This bill would have happened regardless of who was in office. There are other sites to get laid on. I'm disappointed but such is life.

It's unfortunate, and I can agree with the rationale of preventing child sexual abuse and trafficking online. But why punish people who willingly prostitute themselves or let others prostitute them, and they're consenting adults. All this does is to invite more censorship of the internet, far more than repealing net neutrality ever will. It sucks that it seems to be a backdoor repeal of it.
