There is a simpler solution: move all your sites out of the US. The US cannot close rentmen because it is not a US site. CL and backpage were US sites. I understand that migrating from a to a non US host is hard as shit, but it would solve all these problems. Take your pick, move  your escorts sites, maybe even breedingzone to Canada, Uk, France, Australia... the list is long. And know that money will talk. If a new UK hosted CL brings back the escort tab (remember, 2 yrs ago) and makes shits loads of money , I guarantee that some US lawyers will argue that this lost of revenues is unTrumpian.

Nope. That won't work. They also just passed the CLOUD Act which makes it quite easy for them to get certain data off servers that are outside the US. The US wanted data off a Microsoft server in Ireland. Microsoft refused and it's currently gone all the way to the Supreme Court. But the government is asking to send the case down to a lower court for reconsideration now that the CLOUD Act has passed.

One of the big porn lawyers has said on an industry forum that he thinks data is actually safer in the US.

The issue isn't the move to a foreign server. That part is easy. The difficulty is closing my business here, moving somewhere else, reincorporating, getting citizenship in the other place, and then renouncing my US citizenship. That's horribly complicated and just not going to happen. And the EU isn't a lot better. Look at what just happened with the elections in Hungary, or what's happening with porn restrictions in the UK. Canada is an option, but with their close ties to the US, and the CLOUD Act, etc. I'm not sure it's much help either.

The only positive comments I hear about FOSTA/SESTA have to do with trying to prevent trafficking of little girls and women.

FOSTA/SESTA does nothing to help women. Just ask any female escort or pornstar. It actually makes things worse.

Agree - The Mann Act covers the interstate trafficking with minors - and has done so ever since the 50s (just ask Chuck Berry).

You'd never be able to regain your US citizenship once you renounce it. In the end, you need to put yourself first.

The whole thing is typical American  political diversion tactics that most Americans fall for:

1) We are facing a rampant and deadly drug crisis that owes its existence to the actions of a drug company (Purdue Pharma) and a wholesaler (McKesson just walked away with a small fine for a 2nd time in spite of the stomach churning 60 Minutes story on them),

2) the USA is far into bankruptcy and Congress just added over 1.5 trillion with a tax law that gave people money back in their checks to distract them of this fact. When the USA finally collapses it won't be from "illegal mexicans" taking our jobs or supposed "lazy blacks" on welfare or the "immoral fags" getting married: it will be from financial bankruptcy pure and simple, though all the socially programmed moralists will blame the former three, not the the later one (or the white heterosexual males overseeing it) because they have been trained to.

3) we have had multiple mass shootings in the last 24 months (including Las Vegas, Pulse Orlando, Parkland Florida), so what has the legislature done? They have waved the immorality flag and all gone after porn as the root cause...and all the sexually repressed unhappy Americans consuming it on the side have gone along with it rather than protesting to their Congresspersons, and no doubt feeling that much guiltier about their natural sexual instincts as a result.

I've seen this topic discussed on many forums.  The Law is intended to stop sex trafficing aka non consensual and underage.  And any web host could be liable criminally if they aid such behavior.

The caveat is that some claim the law is so broad that interpretation could entrap those that are innocent.  Or using a hammer for a tack.  Hence, Craigslist's removal of personal ads.  I doubt that any website owner would get charged unless they were knowingly promoting such activity.  Or refused to remove illegal material.   Most of this problem comes from open borders of which this law does not address.

All true, but I have zero interest in being the test case. Escorting just isn't that important to this community. I'll let someone who's closer to the issue fight the fight. (And those fights aren't going so well – e.g. RentBoy & Backpage).

I'm really sorry that the somewhat Victorian attitude in the US to escorting has prevented me from discussing here a subject that I very much would like to discuss with other users of this site, may of whom I'm sure get great enjoyment I do from the censored activity.

Is it time for a review of the position?

The FOSTA/SESTA laws in the US that necessitated this policy are still in force, so the situation is unchanged. The internet is vast. I’m sure you can find somewhere else to discuss the topic.

Not only that, our current Vice-President co-sponsored FOSTA/SESTA. So the situation is unlikely to change any time soon.

Given how valuable breeding zone is for having frank discussions about barebacking, there are other forums out there for escorting discussions.  Let's not lose breeding zone due to poorly written laws.

The woman is borderline retarded so one cannot in all fairness have any expectations. She finds herself charming and tries to giggle her way out of having to answer difficult questions by using coy behavior.

Just as a note: When you quote someone's post on here, click OUTSIDE of the quoted part before you start typing your own comments. If you don't, you make it appear as though the person you quoted also said the things YOU'RE saying - which could result in that person being held liable for any infractions.

In this case, of course, RawTop, as site owner, isn't subject to infractions. But it's still not kosher to add your own comments to his quoted material without distinguishing which is which.
