Infuriatingly, I’ve struck problems with twitter rules and algorithms a number of times in last two months as during several lockdowns I lie in bed naked scrolling around twitter for hours, much much more so than usual. The algorithm declares this to be unusual activity and requires password resets. The algorithm detected a profile image that breached a rule (fair cop, an erect penis but hardly the only one). I changed it to a clip of a Grindr exchange where a hookup and I set up an anonymous scene (blindfold etc.). This was blocked for promoting violence (absurd, it was one of the most memorable and enjoyable encounter, sure his 19cm cock hurt a little but he heard my squeals and kindly passed me some poppers). At least the suspension automatically lifted when I substituted a new profile photo. Then I got a temporary suspension for following about 40 guys’ accounts in a row. That was probably foolish as I knew there is some kind of daily limit but they they don’t tell you what it is. The problem is that the algorithm seems now to have marked me out for scrutiny- I’ve just been given a 4 day suspension for some unknown offence, I followed a few new guys, unfollowed a few, tweeted a picture I.e. nothing at all. I've found the big no-no is having an X-rated banner picture - that gets guys knocked off quickly. And yes, if you follow too many people too quickly .. and/or .. you follow too many people compared to the number that follow you - you get suspended or temp-suspended. You also can't post too fast or post too many in a certain amount of time.
