Why do you like Donald Trump and what do you dislike about him.

why on earth would you want a higher government system over your own government thats so stupid

I meant to focus on this, too, and forgot.

So you're opposed to the United States of America? Because, I hate to let you know this, since you apparently missed American History in high school, but that's exactly what the United States is. At the end of the Revolutionary War, there were thirteen individual, sovereign states. They first agreed to form a very limited alliance, under a document titled (and now known as) the "Articles of Confederation." When that proved unworkable, most (not all) of the states sent delegates to a convention in Philadelphia to draft some changes; instead, the delegates chose to draft an entirely new written "Constitution" to submit to the legislatures of all the states. And even THAT constitution - the one we have now, as amended twenty-seven times since - recognizes that each of the states is a sovereign entity, having yielded some, but not all, of that sovereignty to the federal government.

In other words, the EU is essentially the United States of Europe. If it's such a horrible idea for them, do you think it's a horrible idea for us?

Many politicians and political figures have died of Covid, including a representative in my own state, and many, many more have been diagnosed but recovered.

5. 5 politicians have died from The Rona. Of these 5, 2 were overweight to obese, especially Rep Bagala, while the other three were over the age of 65 where even the common flu is killer.  Also its pretty weird that flu and pneumonia deaths are way way down this season compared to previous years. It couldn't possibly because hospitals have a financial incentive to report deaths as COVID as compared to flu/pneumonia/medical error/heart attack

No, Bolton did not "prove" anything false. He says he didn't hear Trump say those things when he was on the trip. Bolton would not have been with Trump every minute of the trip; in fact, he's well documented as having been in side meetings for a goodly portion thereof. Also, Bolton's book came out long before the Atlantic article, so unless you've discovered a new form of time travel (in which case I suggest you patent it quickly), the book could not disprove the article. Period.

It's a hit piece funded by big time Democrat party donors put out during an election year. Democrats have been trying to get him thrown out of office since Nov of 2016 when he "stole the election". The book also didn't prove the article either. What you think in a cabinet where leaks come out about how they hate the guy, they wouldn't talk to any of the others who hate Trump too? You think Bolton would just sit on that little piece of info without coming out publicly yelling from the Capital steps "TRUMP HATE THE TROOPS, THEYRE SUCKERS HE SAYS"? The only person in that Cabinet pettier than Trump, is Bolton.

As for "anonymous sources": you clearly do not understand how those work, particularly with a magazine that has standards, like The Atlantic. Perhaps the comic books (sorry, "graphic novels"), blogs, Q-Anon websites, and other "information sources" on which you rely for "news" may allow that sort of thing, but a publication like the Atlantic requires reporters to provide multiple confirmations for its sources and those confirmations are available to the editors who decide whether to publish any given piece. I can assure you that multiple people within The Atlantic know exactly who those sources are. And I repeat: not one senior defense official has come forward to deny the accounts. None. The US military wouldn't hesitate to denounce a fabricated source in a case like this; their silence is a strong validation that the article is true.

QANON is a LARP; he's more wrong than he is right and even when he is right, he's only technically right. Are you saying that worldnewsdailyreport would lie to me about Obama's love child with Soros? I don't believe it. Damn and here I thought it was such a good source of news. No, I get my news from alternative sources that go against whatever MEDIA says is happening. Zerohedge, Anti-war, Reason, you know, sources that confirm my bias just like you go and confirm your bias with CNN/Atlantic/Washington Post/NYTimes.

But it's good to know you think so little of the men and women who fight for our country. You simultaneously want us to take on China and yet you denounce the military that will be undoubtedly called on to defend American interests against them some day.

yeah? whats your point? Dying in some sandbox so some politician can line his pockets with bloody money is a pretty stupid cause to die for. I hate the Chicomms more than I hate the US government. When was the last time the military was used to "defend american interests" in ways that were not imperialistic? What World War II (if you believe that the US government DID NOT have prior knowledge that the Japanese were going to attack Hawaii)? The military has been constantly used for nation building and setting up puppet regimes since the Spanish-American War.

Yes. Too big. Balkanize now. I bet you think the UN is doing a pretty good job too lol

Also, it's not a tin foil hat. It's a lead-lined hat, it blocks the government's rays from reading my mind; tin foil amplifies the rays. You'd know this if you would quit drinking that fluoridated tap water like a chump

400K deaths by Jan 20 2021? I WISH! I wish it was going to be that high. Too many on the government dollar I say. Dead by what? This mysterious plan-demic all because some random chinese scientist couldnt help having undercooked bat soup at a nearby fishmarket? This thing was cooked up in lab to wreck havoc on the world by Globalists to try and crush the global economy and strengthen the corporations and technocrats. What, you dont think its weird how Main Street USA suffered the most but yet the corporate giants saw their earnings increase tenfold? How weird is it that 0 politicians have died from this "Spicy Flu"? Aint it weird how unemployment was averaging under 4% for the first 3 years under Trump and then this "spicy flu" just shows up during an election year to throw everything out of wack? Weird shit and some election year shenanigans.

Yeah I could not care less about what he thinks about some people who died for imperialist ideals. Besides wasn't that Atlantic article proven false by known War Hawk and Anti-Trumper, John Bolton in his book The Room Where it Happened? To think anyone can just put out an article with anonymous sources for a hit piece on a president.

The attacks on our president will increase and be more mind-blowingly dumb.

What's mind-blowingly dumb is our president. (Also mind-blowingly corrupt and mind-blowingly criminal.)

For those who aren't following along because they're through the looking-glass in MAGAland, the president's on tape telling Bob Woodward how deadly the coronavirus is, far more deadly than the flu, and how devastating a disease it is, at the same time he was publicly telling the country it was fewer than 20 cases that all came out of China and it would soon be zero.

The tapes also document how he learned the seriousness of the disease from Xi Jinping, the same Chinese leader he publicly castigates for lying about "the China Virus".

And now the president says he didn't want to "panic" Americans, so he lied. This is the president who bleated incessantly about the "massive caravans" of illegal immigrants that were headed for our borders, just waiting to come in hauling drugs and raping and killing all the white women. The president who still rants and rages about all the looting and vandalism (of which there isn't that much, but....) and says he's the only one who can prevent it, even though he's clearly not preventing it very well right now and he's the president.

None of this should be surprising because this is exactly how Trump has always operated, from the day he started working for his father. It's all bluster, and misdirection, and overreaching, and self-promotion, all to appear to be something more than what he is. And what he is is a failed, many-times bankrupt businessman who couldn't even make money running a casino in a market that was highly favorable to casinos. A developer who inherited and/or was gifted hundreds of millions of dollars from his father, and managed to build that up into a debt-ridden enterprise kept afloat by Russian mob money laundered through Deutsche Bank. He could have taken the money from his family, invested it in an index fund, and done better than his supposed "genius" development skills produced. His sole genius consists of convincing working-class, ordinary people that he's somehow looking out for them while lining his own pockets as fast as he can shove taxpayer and political contribution money into them.

Now that the New York Times series on Trump and his tax returns (and the earlier series on his handling of his father's companies in the years the father was mentally incompetent to do it himself) have exposed what most reasonable, intelligent people have always known, I'm wondering where all the Trumpanzee fan boys are.

Far from being a savvy businessman who took a small amount of money and became a billionaire through tough negotiations and brilliant strategy, we know:

1. That far from a "small amount of money" Trump received hundreds of millions of dollars from his father over the years, much of it through tax fraud designed to avoid massive inheritance taxes;

2. That virtually all of the assets Trump actively manages, from his golf courses to most of his hotels to some of his office buildings, lose buckets of money even before favorable tax treatment;

3. That he only started making money in the 21st century when he was hired to portray a "billionaire" on NBC, and he used that fame to strike a huge number of licensing deals that paid him for the only skill he has - bullshitting;

4. That even his own sister thinks he's a fraud (and she should know, since she helped him with some of the defrauding before his father died;

5. That far from being massively wealthy, he's in hock right now for somewhere around a billion dollars that we know of, possibly more, and his assets are probably worth not a whole lot more than what he owes, across the board;

6. That he has basically no way to pay off the loans that are coming due in the next year or two without a massive infusion of cash (to the tune of around $425 million), and most of his valuable assets are already leveraged;

7. That he's only staying marginally solvent on a going basis because his campaign, the GOP, its various arms like the national Republican Senate Campaign Committee, its House counterpart, and foreign governments are all pouring money into his companies via overpriced memberships, hotel rooms, and the like;

8. That he happily traded his measly $400,000 salary as president for the untold millions the government is pouring into his businesses by having to foot the bill for Secret Service protection on all his properties when he's there, at many, many times the cost of his salary.

In other words, he's exactly the con man we always knew he was.

And this is the only concern about "taxpayer's money" that you've ever, ever had.

You have no idea what I've had concerns about, so kindly STFU.

My point was that his idiotic supporters cheer him and applaud his "selflessness" in donating his $400,000 presidential salary, while ignoring that he is the first president in decades, if not a century or more, to have active, outside income from ongoing businesses that he personally directs.

My point is that he's made back up that salary "donation" many times over by billing the government, for instance, $37,000 PER MONTH for renting a cottage at his Bedminster golf club, for the Secret Service, whether he even sets foot on the course or not (which he doesn't, throughout the winter). He bills the Secret Service four figures per night per room at Mar-a-Lago when he's there. He charges the Secret Service platinum rates to rent golf carts to keep up with him on his courses - the golf cart rental alone is approaching a full year of Trump's salary.

My point is not that the money is being wasted (although it is); it's that people are actually stupid enough to believe Trump's given up anything. His companies are getting tens of millions of dollars a year in profits that he would never see if he wasn't president, so "giving up" his salary is peanuts - and he's coming out way ahead.

One thing I think is interesting - I have to wonder if all the Trumpanzees who were so adamant here that Trump was going to win in a landslide overdosed, or have packed up and moved to a country where there's no internet, or what. It's sure been quiet since Biden won the same number of electoral votes that Trump, in 2016, called "unprecedented" and a "landslide", while also winning, at last count, more than 7 million more votes than Trump did, as well as winning the largest number of votes in US history. (To be fair for that last: with steady population growth and people living longer, the total votes cast each presidential election grows, but this far outpaced the population growth.)

Something else some of the people who were duped into thinking Trump is such a brilliant business tycoon:

The man got himself banned from Twitter - permanently. He'd built up a loyal following of 70 or 80 million people (to be fair, at least some of those were journalists and other types who needed to follow what he said, even if they disagreed; and I'm sure a few million at least were people who hated his guts. But still: many tens of millions of followers who lapped up his every word.

Trump himself realized how powerful that was; he commented at one point before he ran for president that it was like owning a newspaper without the losses. But even more - it was a MONETIZABLE asset. People with tens of millions of followers get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to tweet about products they use and services they like. Given how prolific he is, and how many companies want to reach the MAGA world, he could have padded his bottom line by several million a year with ZERO investment risk - no interest payments, no debt, no complicated tax writeoffs, just a plain old-fashioned cash gusher.

(Kinda like when he insisted to his siblings that they had to sell all their dad's thousands upon thousands of apartments and other rental properties, once they inherited them; they were owned free and clear, had a stepped-up basis already, and they literally rained cash. But he wanted to get into the golf course business in a big way, so he traded profitable cash-gushing apartment buildings for cash-losing golf courses.)

And he pissed that Twitter revenue away by lying so much to his base about how his election was "stolen", and encouraging them to "do something" about it, that he got banned from Twitter permanently for inciting violence. Ditto for being banned from Facebook, where who knows HOW many companies might have been eager to have their ads appear alongside his page posts.

And I do get why he's so desperate to not leave office - he loses his immunity from prosecution at noon-oh-one on January 20, and even he probably realizes he can't pardon himself. And while banks might have been reluctant to apply too much foreclosure pressure on hundreds of millions of dollars in loans coming due in the next four years, loans that he can't pay back, as long as he was president - that won't be the case if he's just Donald J. Trump private citizen.

He's put out feelers about a revival of some strand of The Apprentice, but you can bet your ass no network is going to touch that now, after his disgraceful stunt with the attack on the Capitol. Before his presidency, he was annoying, loud, and vulgar, but he's made himself toxic. Couldn't happen to a better (ie worse) person.

Please for the life (insert what ever higher power or lack of one you believe in) give these posts a rest.  Seriously the guy is past news; move on and look forward to the future.  Thanks

You posted this four times (in four different threads). You seem to be as unable to let go as anyone else.

More to the point: he's no longer president, but he still, clearly, has a death-grip on the testicles of the Republican party, as evidenced by the fact that no more than a handful of Republican senators will vote to bar him from future office, for fear of his minions primarying them out of office in the next election - even after he egged on a seditious riot to the Capitol intent on murdering the VP for daring to refuse to unconstitutionally throw the election to Trump by refusing to accept electoral votes Trump wanted to contest. When you're willing to acquit a man of conspiring to murder the elected leader of the body in which you serve, in order to protect your personal electoral interests (or to protect your family from nutcase retribution from his followers) then Trump is still a serious threat.

Trump himself is not president. But Trumpism - the reality-denying, burn-it-to-the-ground "ideology" (not that it's coherent, but the closest word) - is alive and well, in the form of Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert, and a host of other GOP nutcase grifters, supported by a vast assemblage of dark money, NewsMax, OAN, FoxNews (which almost seems rational these days in comparison), and more.

Not being a US Citizen,it affords myself to look upon Trump and his support with a free, Independent and clinical eye

Having done so since he became serious contender to his current impeachment

I give you my conclusion of my observations

There are no doubts that from beginning to end the strongest card in his hand

Was the one marked Patriotism

And if you wish to understand as how to play that card,then you need to go no further than how such was played in the early days in the rise of The Nazis

But we all too well where that led and ended

Given all that I have no doubt whatsoever that Trump should be found guilty and banned from all political activity

To do otherwise then the US will be juggling with grenades and one of them

(Trump) has the pin out)

BANG

You named four people there. Four people vs. an entire nation. I take it, four months after your post you still haven't decided who the "host" of other people are. Can't name a single name?

Anyway, those four people - if they are such an imminent threat to all human life, just by "tweeting stuff" and "saying stuff" you don't like - why doesn't Joe Biden simply have them arrested? Where would be the problem in that? You said in another thread that you really believe 81 million people voted for the doddering sack of pus, so there wouldn't be any outcry would there? A huge majority is on your side (apparently).

People who screeched the word "fascism" every single day of the Trump administration are the true definition of nutcase. It is nothing more than a brand of utterly pathetic and demented hysteria which washed-up Obama groupies require in order to occupy themselves with *something*.

In case you weren't aware, being across the ocean and all, the four people I mentioned are members of Congress, not just people who "tweet stuff" and "say stuff". Please don't make the obvious and clear mistake that my objections are simply "not liking" what they (and countless others like them) say.

I don't comment much on British politics (other than to note the insanity of "Brexit") because I don't follow it enough to understand it thoroughly. I would highly recommend you do the same with respect to U.S. politics, which you clearly understand even less than I understand your side of the pond.

Um, originally I actually had a part of my post in which I said "There are approximately 500 members of the House and 100 Senators", and pointing out those four people are a drop in the ocean compared to all the other representatives.  And I was going to ask why you don't have faith in the other 6 freaking hundred members of congress to balance out their 'insanity' or whatever.

I removed it to make my post shorter cause I was concerned you would use the length of my post as an excuse to dismiss it and say something like "oh blah blah" etc.

Of course, instead you just simply found another way to sidestep the question - you decided to imagine that I "misunderstood who are they are". I know who they are, I know American politics. You, apparently, "don't know how Brexit works". Good for you, I hope your medal for not knowing things falls out of the sky soon (I can tell you've been awaiting it for some time now)

The key question is, as I just said, if they're really dangerous loons who are an imminent threat to all human life, why doesn't Biden simply have them arrested and put in a loony bin? After he does so, the people who say they are "scared" of Marjorie Taylor Greene would be free to get on with their life. Right?

I think the answer must be that talking about Marjorie Taylor Greene is your life.
