Downloading from website banned??

Quick question guys... I'm sure one of you IT literate pornlovers will know the answer.

Porn on sketchysex, fraternity X, and now their new site and my current favourite wank material, is available for streaming only on the sites, and as my internet connection is flaky at best, it means that watching it is difficult.

I just! wondered if anyone knew how to download the videos from the sites while using an Android phone?

I usually use IDM+ for this, but alas it doesn't work with these 3 sites..

Solutions on the back of a fag packet please....

Just to be clear, you're asking people for instructions on how to bypass legal copyright protection on a website in order to make an illegal copy of material you don't own. Correct?

I don't think that publicly stating those kinds of intentions is particularly wise.

Moderator's Note: Most subscription porn sites give you the option to download scenes while you are a subscriber. I believe @JoshLandaleXXX is asking for technical assistance with performing this legal action on an Android device rather than technical assistance in pirating porn. In any case, the latter is not allowable. If you need help with the former, I think maybe asking for technical assistance from the website in question might be the best option.

In my experience (which may be limited), streaming porn sites usually do not provide that download ability. In fact, if anything, most of the ones I've dealt with go to great extremes to hide even the file name so that there isn't any sort of "hack" that lets you point directly to the file and then use a browser's built-in download feature to capture it.

Maybe I'm just using the wrong sites and others are more generous.

Sean Cody, Randy Blue, Bromo, and Tim Tales all allow members to download scenes. Those are just the ones in know from having paid for memberships in the past.

Good to know. That said: I'd assume that pretty much any site that allows you to download its videos for offline viewing has a download link available thereon. I'd be interested in seeing a site that expressly permits you to download its videos but does not provide any easy way to do just that.

If you have to conjure up a third-party tool in order to do it, chances are pretty good that the terms of service for the site prohibit downloading a copy. In fact, I'll wager that the reason IDM+ doesn't work with the sites mentioned by the OP is that their terms of service prohibit it, and IDM+ has wisely chosen to block downloads from those sites to avoid lawsuits.

According to the recent reviews by Gay Demon (www.gaydemon.com) of the three sites, none of them offer downloads, but the videos are not DRM protected. As BootmanLA points out, trying to download a video might violate the site's terms of service, leading to termination of membership, subscription, whatever.

I just (literally right before I typed this message) downloaded a video of their most recent scene from TimTales. It is the only site I currently have a subscription to, but I have Sean Cody, Bromo, and Randy Blue films that I legally downloaded on my hard drive on my Windows PC.

I don't own an Android devices, and I haven't tried downloading to my iOS devices. Maybe those operating systems are the issue.

Maybe this will clarify things (or not) a little bit.

There are multiple issues interplaying here.

First, is it legal (under the terms of service of the site) to download a copy of the video file? That's something you have to check with the site itself about. Some providers I looked into sell you a copy of the video, which you can download (sometimes more than once, sometimes to multiple devices). Some other providers are strictly streaming and under the terms of service, you can't download a copy legally.

Second, if it's not legal to download, there are (not surprisingly) workarounds for some types of streaming services. Some of those are add-ins for browsers that capture the stream and allow you to save it. Sometimes a site is poorly coded and there are no protections to stop you from downloading (just as on many sites, you can right-click on an image and save that image to your computer). Again, this may not be LEGAL for the particular site, but it's doable sometimes.

Third, even if the terms of service do NOT prohibit downloads, or even if the site specifically permits them, the site owner may have coded the site poorly such that downloading won't work with certain browsers. Or alternatively, sometimes someone's attempting to use an older browser that doesn't have modern downloading capabilities. That's an issue, again, between the user and the site owner (and his technical team).

Knowing WHICH situation(s) apply narrows down the question at hand.
