X Tube/PornHub Dying?

Just checked my pornhub and xtube, every single of my favorite videos has been removed except for three owned by blue checkmark accounts. My own profile pics were removed as well. Unbelievable. They just destroyed the entire amateur category.

pornhub's reason behind removing "unverified" content is to do away with revenge porn, underaged/child porn, violent porn,"racist or misogynistic" porn, and pirated content. This purge drops total content from 13 million to a lil over 4 million

the amateur is dead long live the free lancer 😕

What is this "only fans" or "just for fans" business? I know nothing about them. Are they better then Pornhub and Xtube?

They’re websites where amateurs can post their own vids that need a subscription to that amateur’s content in order to be viewed. A lot of those amateurs post short or compilation versions of their vids on PornHub or XTube with an enticement to view longer versions on OF/JFF...for a subscription often costing $9.99/mo. Not so bad I suppose if the content is robust and updated often. Otherwise you’re paying monthly for same old, same old stuff.

PornHub has def done a purge. A shit-ton of longer vids I viewed in just the last few days say “being verified” or “removed by content owner”. If their content has dropped from 13 million to 4 million as putmeincoach says, PornHub is toast. I also noticed 5-6 weeks ago that several of my fave vids on XTube were gone...and so was the profile of the guy that posted them. I just figured that he’d deleted his account. I didn’t make the connection, yet now I see that a lot of other content I used to view there is also gone

My xtube favorites list shrank from about 15 pages to just over one. Not to mention the one vid I had up on xtube was taken down (by xtube) without any notice or even notification. Just gone. The account is still there, though.

Yeah my favorites are basically gone now and they removed all my personal videos.

I can see verify the account  and individuals in the videos. Seems if verified a type of money making appeal if verified.  The video may be ok or poorly made, that view can vary among wide audience. Some videos cut off with promotion to a website to see full versions of video. That may or not be worth it. What I think about is ads already on pornhub so shouldn't that cover much of the material.

However verify process can in some cases be involved to where wonder if worth having an account.

As different  categories that not always sure amateur category is truly amateur.  I think some maybe professional quality trying to look amateur.

While can see important to review and remove if received credible reports of questionable content in videos. This can cover a wide range from illegal, to individuals filmed without permission, to revenge postings, etc.

Another way to look at removed videos is can have some go and buy videos from adult bookstores if still open. However if looking for a specific video that may not see, or have to buy so many videos for maybe just a short clip. This also applies to magazines in sometimes not see what was looking for can seem a waste of money. Seen in small print models on packaging may not be in the film (and I would add magazines in not see or know for sure what actually buying). In other words can be a type of original click bait for videos and magazines.

However the other side is some may post videos without wanting payment to just share video where all parties agreed to be in the video, that can picture was removed in pornhub mass purge. If pornhub is changing business model that may make more sense to make a new website.  Also in removing so many videos can see as a type of censorship if on file all in video all agreed to be filmed. Then depending on the policy can be so broad remove so many categories that what one be interested in watching may no longer have any postings or deemed something cant post that many no longer use such websites.

To end different individuals have different interests and would seem appeal to audience if legal made, all signed and know in the film that can make a business.  Otherwise in remove so many videos can make websites seem similar to each other not really tell the difference. Or if that what website want then be better to be upfront in only want most popular and verified categories in attempt to make money. I can see just many quit using which is maybe the goal in the purge in just mass removal than careful review of videos. That would be alarming in attempt to save time just remove many videos even if technically video should remain unless evidence or information shows otherwise to remove. If vidrp has evidence or information to remove then remove but a review should be done first before mass delete.

When I made my comment yesterday my profile was still there with vids, pics and fav vids and fav pics. Just checked again and now the profile is still there but all my pics and vids have been removed. Also my fav vids went down from 1000+ to 38 and fav pics from hundreds to one.

In my newsfeed 90% of the vids is Buy/Rent and there are plenty of messages from regular posters saying goodbye as all their content has been deleted.

I'll stick around for a while to see if anything will be restored otherwise it's time to say goodbye too.

I seen many videos on pornhub removed and ones remain not as generally interesting as ones taken down. At this point seems pornhub and if other websites follow that no longer see much interest to visit.

Not knowing the reason for removal of videos, but maybe did to comply with a law or potential legal action. Or again the ads not bring in the money so put up a pay wall. If that the case then maybe should have charged to start with. Found can be hard to charge for something that was free. Again I don't know reasons why did what did and just some educated guesses.

In the last days I read an article in a newspaper which might explain all of this. It said a publication from New York did have an article saying Pornhub does show vids of sex with underage kids and also of real rape.

So it seems they are under enormous political and pressure from other media now. I assume at the moment they simply fight to survive somehow..

How things will develop once this storm is over has to be seen...

[think before following links] https://www.vice.com/amp/en/article/jgqjjy/pornhub-suspended-all-unverified-videos-content?__twitter_impression=true&s=09 is article explains why Pornhub made the changes did. First in article about credit card companies suspend payment processing.  The other is an organization that the parent organization wants to shut porn down. The article mentions more of a problem of material posted on Facebook than on pornhub. To be clear pornhub and Facebook wants to remove content that should be removed for those that are victims to not continue to be victimized.

However in article mentions individuals asked pornhub for years to have a verification process. However the article mentions verification can still have problems but can see verification better that just posting without knowing if all parties agreed to video or not. Also to reduce unauthorized uploading of copyright materials.

To sum up made changes to likely have credit card processing and reduce legal court filings.

Strictly speaking, only.fans and justfor.fans are not, for the most part, amateur sites, unless the posting person provides all content for free. If the poster accepts payment for "subscriptions" or whatever, then he is not an amateur; he's a professional because he's getting paid for porn. (I have no objections to that arrangement; I'm just stating a fact.)
