Easy Access Washington DC hotels

Recommended Posts

There's a Days Inn in Silver Spring and another hotel on NY Avenue that are great spots too. Washington Plaza is right downtown, though--and has an excellent pool. (In case you want to catch rays, pickup pool-boys, etc.) Have fun man!

The Comfort Inn downtown (13th St. NW), which is nearby is pretty good as well. Able to walk in off the street to elevator and ride up without having to pass the front desk. Not sure how it is at night though. Might need a keycard to open the front door. I recall there being a slot for a keycard.

Washington Plaza.  Well known hotel for cumdumps.

Yeah, I see it posted a lot so it must happen.  But I just stayed there and it looks like you always have to walk by the front desk.  That's not necessarily a problem I guess - two years ago during MAL I walked into a party at a local hotel and the front desk didn't ask any questions.  Is that the situation at the Washington Plaza as well?

Never had any problems getting guys up to the room there.  No key access elevators.

That is true - no key access elevators.  But I just stayed there again and coming in from Crew Club the concierge asked me if I was staying at the hotel (or words to that effect).

Everyone is correct about the Washington Plaza. It's the  #1 DC dumpster hotel. However, if anyone is looking for an alternative, the Residence Inn directly across Thomas Circle from the Washington Plaza also has no key-card elevator access.
