Is any of this real?

I readily admit I was a bug chaser and successfully converted 6 years ago. My temporary housemate is a well known porn actor and producer.  He also chased in an era before most ever heard of chasing. Knocked up in 1999, he was at full AIDS level vl load when he came to stay as he chose a no meds life.  His experience and mine echo many of the stories here

we are hosting an event Labor Day weekend know as the HIVAIDS family reunion.  Over 100 guys with Poz fetish or Poz reality will be attending.  Some likely taking home a souvenir of a lifetime.

But trust me. Many who participate are not serious.  Yet working through that fantasy vid important for many.  Just because a post is by a pretend gifter or chaser does not mean it was just wank time.  Even stuff from men intentionally knocked up may be less than true—attempts to justify action that may not ever be fully justified.

The truth for each new guy is internal not external.  Only you are responsible for your sexual and mental health.  Poz sex and chasing can seem incendiary hot.  But once knocked up?    Reach out to chat with guys. Talk, listen.  Most important. Think about your life the day after you test POZ more than the erotic fuck that nails you.  You will know what your reality is.   If you don’t , then go out and get a box of condoms now.

To answer your question more fully: This site as a whole, and this forum (Bug Chasers and Poz Friendly Neg Guys) in particular, are a mix of truth and fiction, with much of that fiction parading as "truth".

I'd wager that a substantial majority of those "gift giving tops" who post in that folder are fake - either not poz, or undetectable, or not actually willing to have sex with anyone (or some combination of the three). By contrast, I suspect quite a few of the "bug chasing bottoms" who post are serious - or think they're serious - but most will never be called on to decide whether to go through with it or not because there are so few tops out there deliberately gifting.

This site is real. I was a bug chaser and got HIV. I love being bug chaser I went after every pause guy I could find. I chase till I had AIDS. When people ask how I got HIV I tell them I was having the time of my life.

Can't talk for others. But, about myself, I'm honest here distinguishing what I share for fantasy and what my real stories are.

Everyone has needs and sex desires, so it's a matter of mutual respect and conscience, to be honest when talking to others. Honesty pays! And I think fiction folders are made on purpose. So, if I've got something fictional, I tell it there. Unless it's in other fantasy-related posts where "fantasy" is explicitly written. Nowadays Internet can allow us to create fake identity and even build a second fantasy life from the beginning; everyone decides how to deal with their bodies, lives, and sex desires. Here everyone knows I'm undetectable and gifting is a fantasy/roleplay for me; so, if someone wants to have fun with poztalk, they do, and they know not to expect a real transmission from me.

HIV can be a choice today, an informed and conscious choice. Both from the gifter and from the chaser. But it's a lifechanging decision, no one has the right to judge people when they say yes, or they say no.

This is confusing. You say you went after every "pause" (presumably you mean "poz") guy and chased "till I had AIDS". If you become HIV positive, continuing to chase until you have AIDS (which is the end stage of being HIV positive, not the act of becoming positive) is pointless, because it's not going to speed up the process. And you say you're on meds, so if you are, then then there's no reason you would have needed to stop seeking out HIV+ partners once you became positive or once you developed AIDS (if you did), because one more poz load isn't going to change the calculus one iota.

The OP’s initial question made mo reference to bugchasing, and while it’s legitimate to respond here in terms of whether that aspect of the site is to any degree real, this is the General discussion forum, not the Backroom. Discussion of someone’s bugchasing philosophy belongs there, not here, and certainly a link to information about an event with the inference that it will be an opportunity for chasing does not belong here. Put that in the Backroom.

To the OP’s actual question, after you have spent some time on the site, you will begin to develop a feel for what accounts are (at least mostly) true, and which (a sizable percentage) are bullshit. The number of cocks described as 8” and over in these posts is a statistical impossibility; there aren’t enough cocks that size on the planet to account for the proportion of claims made here. Therefore we know some narratives are at the very least exaggerated, if not invented out of whole cloth. You can often get a sense from incongruities in plot or detail, anachronisms, or simply descriptions that are just too built-up to be something drawn from memory. There’s a lot of fiction that gets ‘misplaced’ on the discussion forums instead of being put in the fiction area.

Not all unusual stories are false, however. My sexual life has been (it would seem) rather more adventurous than average, and I take great pains to tell only and exactly what happened to me in my posts, because I know that I already run a significant risk of being disbelieved just on the basis of my truth. If I were to indulge in unnecessary exaggeration, I would likely cause readers to cease to credit my accounts at all. As it is, when I say on this site that something happened to me, you may believe that it is something that really happened in the world.

Good morning, virginpig14, and welcome to the site.  Interesting that you "just discovered this site", in that it appears you joined BZ August 23, 2014?

In any case, if you actually have just discovered BZ:

Most of the discourse on BZ is very real; for instance, the gay politics section, the health-related sections, and almost any genuine subject a guy can think of.  Some of the content isn't meant to be literally true, more just "wannabe" stories, but each of these various "threads" of content are at the top of the opening page.  If there are some threads with content you don't particularly care for, you can "not-follow" them, and conversely, you can "follow" threads you enjoy.  These choices are available in the upper right corner of the home page.  Also, you can "follow" individual members, and you'll get a notification whenever that guy adds commentary to an existing thread, starts a new subject, etc.

One might also consider going on PrEP to fuck bareback, but not be infected with HIV. One still runs the risks to catch (other) STD's then though.

Tallk to your health-care provider, is the best advice in these cases.
