  2. Was raised "secular humanist".... my parents never trusted organized religion, but believe values have to come from somewhere....
  3. In my experience, it is totally up to the individual. When you get together with a guy, you exchange a couple of questions (sometimes) like "what are you into?" etc. One of those questions is whether you want to BB or not. I am very used to guys asking my status on the spot. I always tell the truth, if they have an issue with that, even with condoms, they can go. The great thing about saunas is that no one forces you to do anything you don't want to.
  4. I was in relationship with two different neg guys (I am poz) and it didn't work out. It was my issue mosly, not theirs. I can not be thinking about the status of another guy when I try to fuck, or to have an open relationship. I don't want the resposibility of someone turning poz, I don't want to deal with frustrating relationships in which I have to explain a lot about sex, meds, doctor visits, etc. I am no one to offer advice, I am only telling you my story. I can not deal with Neg guys, always concerned, always asking questions... no way. As much as I loved those guys, there is no way I can get involved with a neg guy again. Too much trouble and not enough satisfaction.
  5. Hey everyone; One question. I already signed up for BBRT and NKP. I love both sites, because I got tired of dealing with the "Neg and will stay that way" bulllshit. I used to be on Bear411 and other sites, but neg guys (young and old alike) are just so nasty and -in many cases- cruel about HIV. In the past, I was on daddyhunt as well, but that one is pretty depressing. I will not sign up on regular hookup sites, like manhunt etc. because I hate the holier than thou attitude of some. My anger grew when I found guys who actually present themselves as "neg for neg only" while in other sites, or in person, they are actually poz. Nothing more angering than a poz guy passing as neg and insulting and putting down poz guys. The question is: are there other sites (other than BBRT and NKP) in which I can be openly poz? please share if you know of any. I am tired to be called names and being put down just because I am poz and open about it. Thanks Danny
  6. Anyone has visited the "Northern Sauna" In Flushing NY? That's supposed to be a very sleazy place.
  7. I actaully have seen straight guys doing this. A bud of mine called it "Buttchgging" and was basically a way to get drunk faster. Straight guys didn't see anything "gay" with that... I didn't say anyhting because I was enjoying the sight.
  8. Hello men; I am interested in chatting with poz pigs in recovery. The questions I have are very personal and specific, so I am not bother everyone here with them. Any contact will be very much appreciated. I am in NYC Thank you pozdanny
  9. I have partied a couple of times and have realized that it is not for me. I am looking to talk with pigs in recovery for advice. I think being a pig doesn't necessarily means to pary, but the attraction is very real. If anyone is willing to talk privately with me, I will appreciate it very much.
  10. It's just easier to live life if you know your status. If you know you are poz, you can take care of yourself and enjoy. If you remain neg, you at least know when you got poz gizz and can do something about it. HIV is a fucking bitch. Getting sick is not fun and getting tested while sick is even less fun. You decide the outcome, but I think it is easier in the long run to get tested and know what is going on.
  11. I think it is about personal preference. I am in my early 40's, and I have always been attracted to mature men. When I was 20 I used to go for guys up to 30 years older than me, because they were more relaxed and experienced. Now a days, I get a lot of attention form younger guys, and I have been with some guys in their 20's (like 25), but I keep going back to guys in their 40's and 50's... I am just more comfortable.
  12. Hi; While I enjoy casual hook ups very much, lately I have been more interested on one-on-one piggy exploration and limits-pushing sessions. Many guys say that they want to get "twisted" and wild, but when you get to them (or they get to you), they are just lying down there, waiting for you to fuck them while doing absolutely nothing. Some don't even kiss! To me, that is a waste of time. Those "cum and go" things were ok when I was 20, but now that I am in my 40's, I am more interested in quality. I am looking for steady fuck buddies who like to get fucked and who are not afraid of exploring intimacy. Long sessions, lots of kissing, lots of fucking BB, but also willing to hang out and just have a good time. All types are welcome. it definitively depends on how we get along. I guess my only request is hygiene, a squeaky clean ass is a tasty ass. I am mostly looking for on-on-one sessions. For the last 10 years I have participated in a lot of parties and group sex, and I am a little tired of it. One-on-one, to me, is certainly more intimate and fun. Please note, I am not looking for a boyfriend. pozdanny@yahoo.com if you wanna start the conversation.
  13. Please check this out http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47704210/ns/health-health_care/t/untreatable-gonorrhea-spreading-worldwide/ I am not one of those, prophets of doom, trying to scare people. I do believe, however, that knowledge is power. I am just posting this in hopes that people make informed decisions, if that is part of the choice. Personally, I like to have steady Raw POZ fuck buddies. I have found that POZ guys in treatment are less likely to carry other diseases, since most poz people in the States receive routine medical attention. Whatever you decide to do, I encourage you to at least know what's out there, in hopes that your choices translate into a more satisfying and long fun life. LONDON — A potentially dangerous sexually transmitted disease that infects millions of people each year is growing resistant to drugs and could soon become untreatable, the World Health Organization said Wednesday. Scientists reported last year finding a "superbug" strain of gonorrhea in Japan in 2008 that was resistant to all recommended antibiotics and warned then that it could transform a once easily treatable infections into a global health threat. "This organism has basically been developing resistance against every medication we've thrown at it," said Dr. Manjula Lusti-Narasimhan, a scientist in the agency's department of sexually transmitted diseases. This includes a group of antibiotics called cephalosporins currently considered the last line of treatment. "In a couple of years it will have become resistant to every treatment option we have available now," she told The Associated Press in an interview ahead of WHO's public announcement on its 'global action plan' to combat the disease. The WHO said those fears are now reality with many more countries, including Australia, France, Norway, Sweden and Britain, reporting cases of the sexually transmitted disease resistant to cephalosporin antibiotics. "Gonorrhea is becoming a major public health challenge," said Manjula Lusti-Narasimhan, from the WHO's department of reproductive health and research. She said more than 106 million people are newly infected with the disease every year. "The organism is what we term a superbug -- it has developed resistance to virtually every class of antibiotics that exists," she told a briefing in Geneva. "If gonococcal infections become untreatable, the health implications are significant." Gonorrhea is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection which, if left untreated, can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirths, severe eye infections in babies, and infertility in both men and women. Once considered a scourge of sailors and soldiers, gonorrhea — known colloquially as the clap — became easily treatable with the discovery of penicillin. Now, it is again the second most common sexually transmitted infection after chlamydia. The global health body estimates that of the 498 million new cases of curable sexually transmitted infections worldwide, gonorrhea is responsible for some 106 million infections annually. It also increases the chances of infection with other diseases, such as HIV. It is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the world and is most prevalent in south and southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. In the United States alone, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the number of cases is estimated at around 700,000 a year. The WHO called for greater vigilance on the correct use of antibiotics and more research into alternative treatments for so-called gonococcal infections. The emergence of drug-resistant or superbug strains of gonorrhea is caused by unregulated access to and overuse of antibiotics, which helps fuel natural genetic mutations within the bacteria. Experts say an added problem with gonorrhea is that its strains tend to retain their genetic resistance to previous antibiotics even after their use has been discontinued. Major producers of antibiotics for gonorrhea include global drug making giants GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Abbott, as well as Indian firms like Cipla. The WHO said it is not yet clear how far or wide drug resistance in gonorrhea has spread, as many countries lack reliable data. "The available data only shows the tip of the iceberg," said Lusti-Narasimhan. "Without adequate surveillance we won't know the extent of resistance...and without research into new antimicrobial agents there could soon be no effective treatment for patients." 'Like passing razor blades' Francis Ndowa, formerly the WHO's lead specialist for sexually transmitted infections, said gonorrhea has not only adapted to elude antibiotics but developed less painful symptoms, increasing its survival chances. "They used to say that if you have urethral gonorrhea you go to the toilet to pass urine, it would be like passing razor blades. It was that painful," he explained. "Now people with gonorrhea sometimes...only notice the discharge if they look when they pass urine, it's not that painful anymore. "So the organism has readjusted itself to provide fewer symptoms so that it can survive longer. It's an amazing interaction between man and pathogen." Experts say the best way to reduce the risk of even greater resistance developing - beyond the urgent need to develop effective new drugs - is to treat gonorrhea with combinations of two or more types of antibiotic at the same time. This technique is used in the treatment of some other infections like tuberculosis in an attempt to make it more difficult for the bacteria to learn how to conquer the drugs. Gonorrhea can be prevented through safer sexual intercourse. The WHO said early detection and prompt treatment, including of sexual partners, is essential to control sexually transmitted infections.
  14. The law is very nasty in this particular sense. If you are poz and you don't have a way to prove that you notified the other individual, you are to blame by default. This laws are based on fear and the assumption that the positive individual acted in an irresponsible fashion. The Positive person has no way to defend himself.
  15. There is a discussion going on at "Queerty" regarding the criminalization of HIV and how people are not getting tested for fear of prosecution. POZ voices are important in the discussion.
