I find I use hook up sites more for staying in touch than for hooking up. Hottest guy I met in a while was in the old fashioned sauna way - we just use apps to keep in touch and fix up meets apps generally get more selective, and that means people filter out so many people that (if they saw in person with less “choice”) they would go for apps have their place, but the old fashioned cruising place with a small selection and immediate need had a lot going for it - hope I don’t sound too old and nostalgic -
I think a fetish is an object or maybe a material which is sexually arousing to you but maybe not to other people generally. So if you are sexually excited by the touch of velvet or the smell of unworn boots or whatever, that is a fetish. A kink suggests a behaviour that you find sexually arousing but is not vanilla or general. Masturbation is not a kink (turns on most people) but say water sports/pissing is a kink. Thats my understanding anyway.

I am in London which is a very mixed cultural and ethnic city. Colour is just not an issue here for me - as a white, older, bottom, stocky bear I like a top who likes me. What I have noticed is that many guys (here at least) who are attracted to my type tend to be from non-white non-Anglo Saxon background. That can be say Spanish or Italian or East European or Middle Eastern backgrounds as much as Carribean or African. It may be off topic to say, but I have wondered if the still strong "thin white hairless (or gym bunny) youth worshipping" endemic in so much of the traditional gay scene in UK and (I suspect) USA is a factor here - with people from other cultural backgrounds less focussed on that "ideal". What do others think?
