I am of an older generation...58 now, was 26 and freshly out when AIDS first hit. Knew very few men afflicted with it at the beginning, but one was one of my closest friends, and I wound up being a primary caregiver over the 53 weeks between his diagnosis (KS) and his death. We traveled together, while we could, and he was one of the first recipients of experimental AZT, which nearly killed him faster then AIDS was doing it. He was 52 and a bodybuilder, but also an alcoholic...dry when I met him, but he went back to it in his last few years. I have not had to go through anything like caring for him again, and it is now more than half my lifetime later. But I can summon it all up in a heartbeat, and this thread has caused me to relive the experience. So I throb (this is a carefully chosen word, and not an exaggeration) with empathy for NiceHard1, for his friend, and for any and all who face this situation today. As much as how we fuck, this is how we earn our manhood, by caring for our brothers in adversity. Bless you, and bless us all. -
The laws against public exposure in NYC have bar managements paranoid about being raided, so it's really difficult. I haven't been to the Eagle in several years, but I used to score some piss in the second floor men's room once in a while. I, too, wore a piss T-shirt, and timed my mens room visits for just after security had made a pass through, knowing I might have four or five minutes before they returned. Rawhide is a small place, and they watch the mens rooms very carefully to make certain two people aren't in there at the same time. If the bar is crowded enough, you might be able to get your glass refilled in a dark corner...or, as les_evil suggests, there's always GSA - 50-100 guys pissing everywhere. (But you can't bareback at the venue...it's always something...)

Sliding scale. Profiles on BB sites are obvious. Non-BB sites like Manhunt or Bear411, I don't click the "safer only" options. If I'm contacted, I usually mention that I prefer BB, and if he's reluctant, I almost always say no thanks. I live in a big city, so there's less worry about "news getting out". I joined a NYSC last November...first time ever going to a gym. The showers offer no real privacy - the curtains practically flap in the breeze created by the shower spray, and it's easy to see if there's more than one guy in a stall. The sauna is another matter. I've had maybe half a dozen times in there where guys would occasionally jack themselves and each other off...witnessed a few orgasms, brought one off myself. I've seen several bb bottoms in porn who occasionally top.
