Been on PrEP for a year. Bareback exclusive...This year I've probably had sex with 60-70 guys. At least 10 of those were HIV positive and all came inside me. My last test was a few days ago and everything came back negative.

Where are you located?  Different countries have different medical standards so it helps people to know where this occurred.

I'm located in Los Angeles. I don't know why there's not a law stating that STD tests MUST include swabs. I've been so vigorous with my testing but because I've never been swabbed I can't pinpoint where I picked these up from.

My previous doctors have run blood and urine to test me for all STDs and everything has always come back clean, I recently switched doctors two weeks ago and it was the first time a swab test (both oral and anal) was done on me.

I tested positive for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. I had been tested two weeks before the results as well my blood/urine were clean. And with this occurrence once again, my blood and urine were clean.

My doctor informed me that doctors MUST swab, I have been with several doctors and never been swabbed before for STDs so clearly this is not some standard procedure doctors follow.

PLEASE have all your doctors swab you or the STDs tests do not count. I'm even asking friends who have doctors if they swab and everyone is telling me they rarely get swabbed at all.

I'm glad what I have is treatable, I'm very worried about any resistant strains I might have but I have to hope for the best.

I'm really hoping that someone will read this and get swabbed, I showed no symptoms and there's no telling how long I've had this for at all.[

Thank you for what you said. One of many reasons I avoid vers guys. As much as I've barebacked I think I've stayed clean so far by only playing with exclusive 100% tops. 

One of the dirty little secrets, never talked about in HIV prevention, is that most of this epidemic is caused by Vers guys.  They are most vulnerable when the bottom, and most likely to spread it when they top.  That 1 in 71 chance of catching it while bottoming, magically becomes 1 in 71 chance of passing it on when they top.  The risk even much higher during the acute phase of infection, shortly after they catch the bug.
 

You guys can read my thread about what a headache it was to actually get PrEP but I just had my bottle delivered fully covered by insurance and doctor coupon covered the co-pay.

Anthem HMO covered me fully. No copay either through certain doctors.

As I mentioned in my other thread. PreP is impossible to obtain, doctors, insurance, specialists and organizations have all turned me down or not returned my calls.

I've seen a lot of posts on this forum, and websites about how everyone is on PrEP. I'm calling bullshit right now because it's impossible to get.

Look at all the threads, everyone says "Oh, I just talked to my doctor" Did you now? Because I talked to mine and she knew NOTHING about PrEP so she referred me to a disease specialist who turned me down claiming, "We can't put you on PrEP unless you HAVE HIV, talk to your insurance."

So then I talked to my insurance (Blue Anthem HMO), who also said, "Nothing we can do unless you have HIV."

I've called several numbers of centers, and organizations, no one has called me back. Where is this so called PrEP that everyone speaks of? Apparently some magical crane just drops it in everyone's lap except mine, that or everyone is lying about being on PrEP.

I live in the Los Angeles area, no surprise STDs run rampant if prevention is this much of a headache to go through.
