  1. Derek porn isn't the general public. I didn't say the attitude that the straight industry has about gay porn performers was my opinion but agree with it or not it is the attitude of that industry and gay crossover performers continue to get blamed. Before patient zeta the last major quarantine was from a male performer who contracted HIV from a female performer who had worked with transsexuals. As far as oral sex and HIV most infectious disease experts puts the risk at 1 and 10000 and doctors in that community consider that number too high. HIV from oral sex has always been considered a theoretical risk not an actual risk. As someone who has been sexually active as long as you have, I would have thought you knew this. Sure it's not fair that the straight industry says GAY=HIV+, but the industry needs a scapegoat and guess who is it.

  2. Unfortunately it doesn't matter if you are negative, the fact that you are having sex with HIV+ people and are gay is enough for the straight porn industry not to hire you. Porn Wiki Leaks, the HIV+ test of the crossover performer, the false positive of a second male performer, and the mandatory condom issue in LA county has shut the door on a lot of male talent that shoot gay porn and a number of agencies will not allow their talent to shoot with crossovers.

  3. The Luke Is Back blog covers the straight porn industry and a lot of porn performers, directors, insiders, etc... post on there quite a bit. The mandatory condom issue in LA has had the porn industry in a panic and threatening to leave Los Angeles. Crossover porn performers and the directors and producers that hire them have been blamed for this coming to pass because of the Patient Zeta porn scare and the porn wiki leaks debacle which outed performers real names and was run by people who want crossover performers gone. It appears that Mr. Anthony's straight porn scene has been put under the microscope over there.

    Here's the comment

Mike South wrote some interesting articles on whether the industry will really move out of LA or whether or not they are bluffing.

You know some companies make it REALLY HARD for the industry to continue to fight the condom policy.

Case in point DEVIL’S FILMS. One of their more recent releases is a film called Like Father, Like Son 3. One of the actors in the film is an openly gay performer named Derek Anthony who shoots bareback porn for Treasure Island Media who do not test and regularly co-mingle negative and positive perfomers.

    A comment from the link-

“Since I am the type to respond and personally answer all email etc and I am known as a no bullshit down to earth person let me comment on the above. I am neg and yes got tested quite frequently when filming. If I were poz I certainly wouldn’t lie about it as I feel there is nothing wrong with being poz. My ex bf was poz and I fucked him bb all the time for almost 3 years. ”

In other words this guy, though negative, was having unprotected gay sex with his boyfriend as well as other HIV+ porn performers and Devil’s Film hired him. Devil’s Film, Kick Ass Pictures, and Kink.com are the worst offenders as far as hiring crossovers that are work regularly/semi regularly with bareback gay studios that don’t test and in the case of Treasure Island brag about negative and positive performers together.

Once again companies like Devil’s Films, BangBros (who regularly use crossovers and are now shooting bareback gay content), Kink.com, and Kick Ass are going to be the ones that make the mandatory condom policy stick around.
