I am very curious and I'd like to try and experience as a mare. I can't image me being there sober; something deep has to kick in me to try this one, like my first and the only bathhouse experience in the city I live - col, OH.

What are the chances that mare and/or stallion are not sober in this event ?

I'm not advocating that you do or don't go.... that's entirely a decision. you need to make for yourself based on the amount of and quality of your sobriety. I can tell that it is possible for a sober person to go to HorseMarket and have a great time. I went in September and just celebrated my 28th sober anniversary on Thursday. I'll have to see if they'll be doing on the east coast sometime soon. I'd love to try it again!

I'm into men and I find it a turn-off to find in a sauna someone who resembles a woman.

Maybe I don't understand  the terminology as well as I thought... my understanding is that a Transgender man is a woman who has transitioned (or is transitioning) to a man while a Transgender woman is a man who has transitioned (or is transitioning) into a woman. Since the OP asks about our feelings about trans men in bath houses, here are mine...

I have no issues with trans men going to bathhouses and, in fact, have been attracted to them from time to time... my only request is that a trans man who is still "in transition" and has other genitals disclose that before engaging in a sex act, at least with me. Others may feel differently.

If Spain is an option for you, perhaps you should consider Malaga and the surrounding area. It’s a popular retirement destination for people from all over Europe, largely because of the great climate. Some of the 20th century development along the Costa del Sol has not been particularly ‘sympathetic’, but there are still some lovely areas and Malaga itself is a great city. Plus, it’s only a 20 minute train ride from Torremolinos, which is one of Spain’s gay hotspots, full of bars, clubs and beautiful men!

I'm very familiar with Malaga and have been a number of times. While I like it very much I don't think I'd want to retire there. I am a big city guy and like the fact that from Valencia I can be in Barcelona or Madrid in two hours by train for a weekend sexcursion. But I appreciate your suggestion very much.

I've also thought of Lisbon and perhaps other smaller cities in Portugal but there's the language problem. I've never been able to master more than a few phrases in Portuguese although I'm extremely conversant/nearly fluent in Spanish.

  4. I, too, always thought I would retire to Fort Lauderdale and have been looking at something I could buy there and rent out until I'm ready to retire in 10 or 11 years. Plus, my bestie of 40 years lives in Naples although I'd never consider moving there. Too white... too straight... and most of the gays are coupled. However, with the current political climate in the state I'm starting to rethink FLL. We'll have to wait and see what the 2024 and 2028 elections bring.... if T or DeSanctimonious (unlikely) then I would definitely lean toward leaving the country. Even if it's Nikky Haley.

I had always thought of moving to Barcelona (my favorite city!) but it too has gotten excessively expensive, as has Madrid. Valencia is looking appealing to me although I've never even been there. We're stopping for a day on a cruise this fall so will take a 3 1/2 hour bike tour around the city and then spend the afternoon wandering through neighborhoods and walking back to the ship. I've also always considered Puerto Vallarta, which I love, but I missed the boat on buying anything there. Of course, I don't necessarily have to buy a place in retirement. I can always just rent although one is not impacted by rent increases when one owns, just rising insurance premiums and, if a condo complex, rising homeowner association fees.

Lastly, I've recently been thinking about Cartagena, Colombia. I've heard it's very nice and inexpensive, plus it's not as far as Spain or Puerto Vallarta is to get back to Philly or my family in New England. Again, I've never been there but it's easily remedied. I hope to spend a month or more each winter for the next few years in each of these cities to see how each feels.

Palm Spring is nice (heading there in March) but I really don't know many people there and as a single man in my 60s then... I'm not sure it would be very much fun and it could be downright lonely.

I look forward to scouring this forum to see if any other ideas catch my interest!

  5. I always thought I would retire to Spain and before the 2008 was looking at moving to Barcelona. Now, BCN is super expensive, as is Madrid, so I'm thinking about Valencia which is just a couple hours from both cities by train. I plan to go spend a month there probably winter 24/25 and get the vibe for the city. Another possibility is PV, but I only know it from vacationing there and have yet to spend more than a week. I too have considered Miami/FTL but abhor the direction the state has been headed politically. It really has become a quasi-Nazi stronghold.

  6. So I went to HorseMarketSF (as a mare) on Sunday night and I must say that it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in a sex club (next to El Mirage in NYC back in the early 00s). It was very hot not knowing who was fucking me. I arrived around 7:30PM but it was after 8:30PM by the time I got checked in and 8:45PM by the time I was set up on one of the fuck benches... and while I was only there for a couple of hours  I got fucked by 15 or 20 different guys but only got a couple of loads. I left a little before 11PM (and realize that the last hour was probably the best for being seeded) but I got a few more loads after I got back to my motel room. All in all, it was a great Folsom.

However, I was really disappointed in how all the stories I've heard about the demise of SF are true. I walked all over the city and even visited most of the addresses I lived at when I was there from 92-95 and the city looks awful, particularly Market Street and the Tenderloin. I walked right through it one day looking for a gallery and I haven't felt that unsafe in any city ever (and I used to frequent Times Square in the late 1980s). It made me terribly sad to see the city I love so much in such despair.

  7. Thanks for the tip! I decided to try Sniffies Plus for a week while I'm in SF for Folsom and try out the features. I'll try familiarize myself with them before I go.

You would have to be a subscriber.  Also you might have to be reported as being in that metropolitan area (right now I'm listed as being in LA because of my recent trip to LA - but you can probably get around that - last time I checked you can't list a party ad for a specific metro area without being in that metro area but you should be able to check hotels).

Then you check the specific hotel.  Sniffies then tells you how many Sniffies users were there, etc.  These are listed as Sniffies Cruisers (the terminology might be a recent thing - for saunas/bathhouses they report how many Sniffies users are there now and how many have been there in some time period).  If you have to, you can search from your browser "sniffies Brea Inn" or "sniffies Dunes Inn Hollywood" or whatever.  A link will come up that then reports what you want:

    For example:

Another thing to check is how often Sniffies Cruisers are reported on Sniffies.  Dixie has 40 over the last two weeks.  La Brea has 74 over the last two weeks.

How do you check how often Sniffies Cruisers are reported on the site? Do you need to be a subscriber to access that information?

Thanks for all the info. How long did you stay? How many loads did you get?

I appreciate all of the input on this site.... in the end I went with the Dixie Hollywood Motel. It's still on the Metro Line with ez access to Slammer. Also, with pool it makes it a little nicer for a longer stay. If I was just there one night to take loads it'd be different. I didn't like the recent note on Sunset Dunes Inn's listing on BCDhotels that some cumdumps have been thrown out. Not sure how they can legally do that, though. It will be good to have another motel to compare.

Whichever is closer to Slammer, is probably what you want. Just get whatever hotel you want and spend the evenings at slammer. You’ll get loaded

That would be the Silver Lake Hotel, which appears to have direct access to the rooms.... I like that for anon. And it's only .3m walk to Slammer. A bonus is that's only .5 from a metro station so I may not even need rent a car and could take the Coastliner up from SD and then Uber places farther afield. Thank you!!!

Seeking advice from locals. Visiting LA in November. Not really planning on doing an open-door cumdump scenario although if something like that spontaneously happens I won't be complaining 😉 But I'm hoping I'll be heading home with a nice mix of LA DNA in me 😜 Not experienced with this sort of thing so it's all a bit of new territory and a fantasy trip. I've read mixed comments and thoughts here about the best hotels for this sort of play and it seems to come down to either Dunes or La Brea. Dunes certainly looks like a nicer place to stay and has better reviews overall on Google, but if I get some interest on Scruff or BBRT or whatever, I just want there to be no hassles and easy access for the fun to happen. Appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Which motel did you end up staying at in LA and what was your experience? I am also torn between the Dunes Inn Sunset and the La Brea Inn. I've stayed at both but only for a night or two. I'm considering a 3nt stay in the new year.... was also thinking the Beverly Laurel might be good as there is a pool and it's a bit more upscale.

I would go with an easy access motel.   Think of it this way, would you want a group of strangers coming into your home, possibly taking things that don't belong to them and then causing you to clean up their mess.  If you can find a hotel/motel off a major highway I would think that works best.

Take it from someone who has been on both sides of this issue, having a designated place, that I don't have to clean up (i.e. towels and laundry) is much better than having the luxury of just answering the door and letting a total stranger in.  Sure it sounds great initially, but in the end I think you will have a better time if you take it away from your residence.  Good luck and have fun....

Who answers the door?  A little duct tape (I use Guerilla brand) on the latch and it's ez access for tops.

Probably because people go around asking questions like “why would someone want to get pozzed”.

Some people are turned on by the concept of being sexually extreme. When people go around clutching their pearls like this, it gives those people an objective.

I didn't read this at all at "clutching one's pearls" - that implies that we're prudish, which obviously we're not or we likely wouldn't have become poz in the first place. I too have never really understood the romanticism of those who chase being pozzed. It is certainly nothing that I wanted to have and when I finally tested positive in April 1990 I felt like I'd been given a death sentence. I had probably been poz for 3-5 years at that point.

Clearly those who romanticize this disease did not live through the worst of it, being forced to watch beautiful vital men wither away and die often within months of testing positive. There were no drugs back then and even in the mid 1990s all they had was AZT which had been taken down and dusted off from where it had been shelved due to its toxicity. Boy, I wish that PrEP were available to me back then so I wouldn't have to be in this situation but that's not my reality. I'm one of the lucky ones who is still alive (and relatively healthy) after nearly 40 years of living with this unforgiving and relentless disease. Be careful what you wish for!

I fucked a disgusting trans whore there the other day.  Use grindr, squirt, bbrt and double list

Thanks very much.... I'll file that away for future reference. My plans have changed, though, and I'll actually be on Cape staring today. Staying three nights in P'town before heading to Wellfleet to stay with straight friends all weekend. Will be a couple blocks from the Dick Dock if it get's quiet. But I'll use all of the sites/apps you've mentioned as well.

Haha if you visit Amsterdam in a hotel room of airbnb I want to breed you. And anonymous would be even better. 🤤

First and most important - I definitely want you to breed me when I'm in Amsterdam in April for King's Day. I love it ass up, anon.

Second, can you recommend a reasonably priced hotel in the Centrum where guys can get to the room easily? Most of them seem like small hotels with no easy access and the bigger ones sometimes require a key card for the elevator. Your experience as a breeding top will be most appreciated!

I stayed at the hotel Continental, it was very basic but and not the cheapest but I could literally leave the hotel and be in any of the sleazy bars or the sauna on 2 mins, never plucked up the courage to have a fuck back to the hotel as stupidly booked late and only got a single room, 24 hr main guy on the front desk who was a wanker but some of the others were cool so reckon you’d be ok if you booked a double

Thank you for your reply... I looked up Hotel Continental and they don't seem to offer any rooms with private bathrooms or at least they are no longer available.

I found a room at the Hotel Amistad which is on Kerkstraat near Club Church and not far from the Reguliersdwarstraat. I like to stay a little farther afield from the Damrak/Centrum. I can get to the Eagle from any hotel in the 2nd canal ring  in under 20 minutes

I'm uncertain whether the Amistad is a good choice as the entrance is not like a typical hotel and it won't be busy. They may not like a lot of people cumming and going. It is a gay hotel but may cater more to couples and guests who are not of the sleazy variety, or at least not sleazy pump and dump bottoms like me.

  17. 11 hours ago, JamesL100 said:

Are you going to the bars, backrooms and fuckclubs too?

Of course! I plan to do it all. I managed to snag a room at the Amistad Hotel. Do they give visitors a hard time going up the room or are they pretty lax about that? I thought about booking the Hotel Eden as it's a larger hotel with a real lobby and it will likely be easier to get up the room, especially late at night. Do you know either of them?

  18. Looking for suggestions for a good hotel to host tops and take loads over a four day weekend for King's Day 2024. Bestcumpdumphotels.com recommends the Motel One on Waterlooplein but either they have no availability or they haven't released it yet. Another recommendation is the Mercure West but I prefer to stay in the center within the canal district.  I prefer to stay in one of the larger hotel chains where there are lots of people coming and going (hopefully more cumming!) so that tops don't stand out when they come to my room. I find that a lot of the cheaper rooms are singles (as in twin bed) but I guess that's OK as I just like to get bred and will likely sleep alone. Any suggestioms would be appreciated.
