Guest Matias47 Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 So measure "B" passed here Tuesday. This means porn productions in LA County (not the entire state of California) need to get a certificate from the Board of Health and be ready for surprise inspections. Shooting without a BOH certificate or without condoms will be subject to misdemeanor charges and fines. Porn producers had threatened to leave the state if this passes, though it seems to me merely shooting outside of the county and letting their local taxes go elsewhere might be a strong enough message. On the other hand, unemployment is pretty high in Nevada. Any producers here care to comment? RT? What do you think, guys? PS. RT, I thought about posting this elsewhere, but it seemed a big enough story to be here. If I'm incorrect, I do apologize.
ncl27 Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 Such a stupid petty regulation. Let the county/state lose the tax revenue; they don't deserve it anyway.
BiAggieGuy Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 Funny how this issue created an alliance between the condoms Nazis and some on the religious right. Some of the biggest backers of the AHF are anti-porn zealots lead by Shelley Lubben, a former porn star. Their next goal is a state wide ballot initiative followed by a federal mandate from OSHA. They figure they can get rid of porn in the US through the regulation back door. This is why I usually vote libertarian.
