No matter where we are, best to post photos in your profile. Try out your profile text on some people you trust, and get feedback. Is it "too needy"? Is what you're looking for vague? Too "off putting" the way you phrase it? If you're far from others, express a willingness and ability to travel.

Beyond that, don't be afraid to look at other profiles, and "say hi" to guys you're interested in.

Don't leave too many Ask-Me's and fill out the most options applicable. I understand there are no ratio options how much into something you may or may not be, but you can always elaborate further when you are conversing what you like out of it more or less - at least you'd have a reason to.
