If you ask the average Neg guy what the chances of catching HIV from condomless sex with a Poz guy, he'll answer with a number somewhere between 50% and 100%.  The OP seems to be in that camp.  The actual risk is 1.4%.  So yes a pretty good chance that you didn't catch the bug, but PEP is still a good idea.
