Poppers: What's going on?

I have had no problem getting poppers online at Priape. Be careful though, as it is probably classified as "Dangerous Goods" for shipping. Take that together with the current cargo security scare.

From the blog:

"From many reliable sources in wholesale and retail of alkyl nitrites "poppers" I know that the CPSC did in fact raid Pac West shutting down the business and its distributors. Every business online or elsewhere has been sent a cease and desist order by the CPSC and is currently under the scrutiny of law enforcement officials. Don't believe it? Check out Picturebrite.com and click under their "head cleaners." I have talked to at least 4 online retailers who could only say so much to me at the "advice of their lawyers" and other legal matters surrounding the raid.

Basically what I've found out through my main source who is a wholesaler in this business is that PWD manufacturing and distributing is gone and done with. PWD was the largest manufacturer and distributor of poppers in the world and now there is no one making them - legally anyway. The CPSC is keeping this all quiet because of Joe Miller's apparent suicide happening so close to the raid. Online retailers are either out of business, going out of business or staying in business until their inventory runs out. If your online shop says it has full inventory and is not being effected by any shortage they are lying to you. Once they get low in their inventory and try to re-order from their wholesalers they'll be in for a surprise when they find out they no longer have a wholesaler.

My sources believe this federal crack-down is a knee-jerk reaction to Atlanta activist Greg Barrett's death following the combined use of poppers and Levitra. Some online sources believe it was due to Joe Miller promoting his products for recreational use - which in fact was not the case. To be honest, no one knows exactly why this is happening right now -but it is happening.

I've done a lot of research on the safety of alkyl nitrites much of which I will be posting on my blog soon. I am also trying to set up a live Q&A live chat on my blog this weekend if everything goes right. The UK and Canada are somewhat involved in this mess and hopefully I'll be able to clear some of that up. I've been covering this since I found out about Joe Miller's suicide in August and I invite you to check out my blog for more information. For now though, stock up while you can.

And, for you naysayers -I am in no way intending to be alarmist. I am reporting facts from reliable sources. You can choose to belive what you want -that is your right.

Thanks!

But what I want to know is where is the cheapest place to buy them now? The store in my town is charging $10 per bottle. Online the cheapest I can find is $8 per bottle plus shipping. Picturebrite was at $5 per bottle and Fort Troff was doing 6 small bottles for $18 this year.....

I just purchased from epoppers.com. Small bottles were $11 but with every order they ship one extra. They had a special going on where if you purchased 4 bottles (any size including spray ethyls) you got to choose a free product of equal or less value. I ended up getting 6 bottles for $54 including the shipping. That's $9a bottle when the "herb" shops are selling for $12 - $15.
