Backpage screwed themselves with too many instances of child prostitution on it and they are the reason Congress overreacted and passed FOSTA and SESTA.

Know a few guys who hustle/escort here in Dallas and back in ATL and they've all said this is killing them financially. I think it was more aimed at hurting prostitution and crime syndicates than at any "noble" goal like ending child trafficking as the federal-level politicians would have you believe. It just creates more headaches for local-level politicians who now have to deal with more street hustling.
