mcload Posted May 10, 2020 Report Posted May 10, 2020 Being the anthropologist that I am, I am advising everyone of a new scamtastic trend I call the CORONAVIRUS HOOKUP SCAM FANTASY A paranoid virus-phobic person hits you up online and chats chats chats until you think they're credible about hooking up. Then, like Lucy with the football, he/she/it pulls back just before you're about to get down to the nasty. The reason: Fear of virus. Even though they've stated to you multiple times that they're asymptomatic and so introverted they couldn't possibly have touched another human since the Carter administration. This scam is rampant! Even in Colorado Springs, which is where I first encountered it. Right, Andrew? Just sayin'. Quote
