Profile/Background Pictures keep rotating

Is there a height/width ratio I should be looking at when I upload a profile picture?  Every time I try to upload, the picture rotates 90 degrees.  I tried rotating the picture myself, and it held the rotation, so I figure it’s the ratio forcing it.

I found I had that problem when trying to upload a photo from my iPhone. My solution was to send the pic to myself on WhatsApp, that picture would upload and keep the correct orientation. Not sure if perhaps it’s because iPhone creates “live” photos, or just some metadata which gets stripped when sent via WhatsApp.

Thanks.  I’ll work on that once I get home and can transfer stuff to my computer.
