Former Travelodge Central on Market Street

Has anyone tried the new SF Central Hotel (formerly Travelodge SF Central) at Market and Valencia lately? I thought it had closed as every time I searched for the Travelodge on Hotels.com and Wyndham's website it didn't show anything. I was happy to find that they are open and have reasonably priced rooms for Dore Alley and Folsom weekends. I have fond memories of taking loads during Folsom Weekends at the old Travelodge. I love totally anon scenes with the door unlocked and the lights off or me blindfolded and it was a great place for that as a crossroads between several neighborhoods. Has anyone tried it with the new owners/management and is still a good place to take loads? Inquiring minds want to know!

I got a room there a couple months ago and it was very much like the old days, I’m happy to report. I took a few anon loads blindfolded, even though it was a weeknight and no special events going on.

Thanks for letting us know about the Hotel. Sometimes have friend visiting who is looking for a hotel like this where he can take loads while I encourage, watch, join, take pics.
