calistr8bro Posted February 9 Report Posted February 9 Planning my life long term, I am strongly considering investing and then spending a good chunk of the year in a Central or South American country (thinking about Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama or Colombia, may tweak the list depending on economical or geopolitical factors) - I like the weather, the food and of course the men, so why not. I have been undetectable for ~10 years and on Biktarvy the past few years. What is the availability of reliable HIV treatment in those countries? If I have to pay out of pocket, how expensive would that roughly be in USD? Also more generally - anyone else did the same move and can share their experience? 1
topblkmale Posted February 9 Report Posted February 9 Considering that Mexico is Latin America but is North America, medications are generally less expensive and more readily available over the counter. Check out (Google): Farmacias Similares and Ahorro.
negboyslut Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 In Mexico, the two main insurance companies offer free treatment, but your employer has to register you,
pig-latin Posted March 28 Report Posted March 28 Well, not in your list but Brazil does provide free treatment for both HIV and PREP, also for all other STD
