Do Privacy Notices on Profiles hold any value?

I've always seen these paragraphs on profiles throughout the years and always wondered if this type of thing holds any value?

I usually put them up, but I just made my profiles very vanilla since people are copying and publishing profiles and pictures. My assumption has always been that they probably don’t stop anyone, but you are likely in more trouble if you don’t have it and you wind up in court and get asked why you never said anything to that effect - just as you need to say 18+ only on some of the social media sites and some of the sites are having to block Red States. Someone who’s a lawyer is bound to weigh in though.
