phillygwm Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago This isn't going to be your typical BZ post; just looking for general advice. I'm vacationing in Porto and Lisbon in late March. Will be traveling with my (straight female) cousin. She's great with the gay bars but, of course, I'd never take her anyplace too wild 🙂 To be honest, this is also a possible dry run. If the US gets dramatically worse, I'd consider relocating somewhere within the next few years. (I'll be retired by then.) So just looking for advice: Where should I stay? We booked the Cenica Porto (which I can change if needed) but nothing yet in Lisbon.  Something moderate. Not looking for a hostel but don't need super luxury either. Any bars that would be pretty mellow (we go to a gay piano bar here at home and she doesn't feel out of place.) In terms of splitting our time, I've initially planned Saturday-Tuesday in Porto then Tuesday-Saturday (leaving Saturday AM) in Lisbon. Is that about right or should I allocate the schedule differently? Anywhere else we should go? I offered my cousin a day in Fatima, which I'm hoping she'll decline 🙂 Thanks in advance! Quote
