Corruption - The Real Definition (inspired by a Chaser)

QUESTION:  What do you consider the sexual and/or psychological of "corruption"?  Or, what do you think is meant, or what do you mean when someone says "I corrupted him" or "I want to corrupt him" or "I want to be corrupted."

BACKGROUND:
This was inspired by another ridiculous Chaser convo I ended very quickly.  I was busy eating a chocolate chip cookie when I heard the alert and walked to my computer.  "You need to poz me and corrupt me."  Before I could respond and without any hello, he then proceeded to send a paragraph about how slutty he was (during which I yawned).  I asked what he meant by "corrupt" only because I was curious about what this person defined that as - it's a word that comes up but doesn't have a clear definition.

Below are the different ways I've seen it come up, in terms of what the recipient wants in terms of being corrupted:

1. WANTS ENCOURAGEMENT: meant to encourage someone to do things they may fantasize about but would not necessarily pursue.
   • In some cases, someone reaches out to you expressing interest in something that is far afield from their current lifestyle.  They want to be poz, they want to become a slut, they want to cheat, they want to XXXXXX...
   • Corruption in this case, is the act of making them feel more comfortable with it, encouraging them, showing them opportunities, eliminating their misgivings, and ultimately getting them to take the plunge.
   • There is an interest and a willingness on the person pursuing the encourager that may simply want to understand experiences in order to help them make a choice, and in other cases, the ENCOURAGER might 
2. WANTS TO BE TARGETED/MANIPULATED*:  identifies a target (based on a type, probably, or opportunity - e.g. drunk guy in bar) and over time befriends, enlists, and ultimately becomes the ENCOURAGER.
   • This is predatory in the sense that it is a targeted pursuit of someone based on identification or opportunity.  It involves befriending or establishing connection with someone, grooming them to begin to pursue things they may not have ever thought of, and then ultimately getting them to pursue those things with earnest.  
   • The "art" if you wanna call it that of this is that the Manipulator doesn't force the other party to do the things - they use manipulation to get them to beleive it's their own call and pursue it with the manipulator's encourage and support.
   • *if you're the bottom, you may identify this as a scenario you want to experience but it could be true also that you are being targeted by the corruptor without you knowing...so this one is a bit hard
3. WANTS TO BE FORCE GIFTED: has stated that they want HIV/STIS but fantasizes about it taking place in a forced/coercive situation and calls this "corruption"
   • Chasers frequently talk to me about me corrupting them...I'm more akin to the "wants encouragement" modality of this, so the act of simply giving them HIV is not something I would call "corruption" - the term is misused.
   • The receivers here want to think that the outcomes are not of their own choosing, so would like to role play a situation where their choice is taken away. 
4. WANTS YOU TO "MAKE THEM":  views homosexuality, gay sex, barebacking, something as perverse and so similar to the force scenario, wants you to "corrupt" them by do certain things.
   • Unlike the Encourager, this person won't admit to wanting "it" they want to be forced or convinced to want it and then pursue it.

In my opinion, #1 and #2 are a form of "corruption" in the gay world.  #3 and #4 are more CNC and roleplaying, mixed with a healthy dose of denial and lack of accountability.

Interestingly, there is international law which has a definition for "sexual corruption" and it has to do with an abuse of power and use of quid pro quo type arrangements.  If you follow the literature on sexual corruption, only #2 would even qualify for it, "sexual corruption" requires a "convincing the other to do something illegal or wrong."  1, 3 and 4 establish that the person being corrupted doesn't think the outcomes are wrong, and none in this case are necessarily illegal.

But when someone says "corrupt" to me in sexual context, I think of #2.  And I know #2 happens and exists, there are porns that show it acted out fictionally.  But it's one of those words that makes an alarm bell go off because of what I think it is, versus today's chaser who simply said, "I mean...I want you to poz me."  It's a loaded word.

WOW, you always make me think about your comments 😳. I am essentially a black & white person & I don't usually see a lot of grey areas ie: a man rapes & murders 15???? 🤔, I cannot justify 10yrs, 20yrs or life in prison. It's an automatic death sentence but, on this topic I was clearly 1 & 2. I would still go with 1 & 2 but, options 3 & 4 did make me ponder & question relevancy & alternative concepts of meaning. I enjoyed the brain exercise 😂😂😂.

@Erik62  I enjoy your thought process - glad it made you think 🙂 Corruption Sex is considered a type of Rape.  Rape is about physical violation and abuse whereas Corruption is an abuse of power leading to an exchange of sex for something of value (this is the common legal definition I found while researching).   That scenario of "corrupting someone and giving them HIV and Chems" is common in the gay world - but the counter argument is that becoming HIV positive and becoming a drug addict aren't things of value - so the cases don't get prosecuted even if they are reported.  Moreover, there are people who do this that never have sex with the person they corrupt.  

My main point in posting this was:  there are some terms we all use that are pretty important that don't have consistent meaning person to person.

If one person thinks that "NO LIMITS" means "bareback + a few light kinks" and the other think it means "everything I could possibly do and with another human" you might find yourself in sticky situation when the sex starts (and especially if there are drugs involved).  I've spoken to a bunch of bottoms about this - they say they have "NO LIMITS" but when you ask clarifying questions, the lightbulb goes off - they aren't "NO LIMITS" at all - one even went as far as to say - "I'll never say that again."

Years ago, I found myself in such a situation.  I had said I had "really no limits" and it started off good, until I was immobilized, had a gas mask put over my head, shot up, given so many drugs I couldn't even move or speak, 3 other people I couldn't even see arrived, then several other things happened I won't list here and because of my condition, I had zero to even say something like "I need a break."  I may have consented to all of it, but the condition I was in made it feel scary, dangerous, and like I was very vulnerable. It sounds hot to me even still, but it's only hot until it's not and if you can't even speak for yourself, that's just not okay.

I'm still gonna fuck random and anon, will never have this convo about limits 100% of the time, and I'll definitely make some sketchy choices about who I fuck with, but for those that might become fuck buddies, I'd rather have the convo so we know just how far we can push each other - and enjoy that freedom.
