I was looking around over the weekend and found out that the dildo/toy/plug manufacturer offers a "Shop@Home" Program. (Details here:  [think before following links] https://www.squarepegtoys.com/shopathome/

Basically, per order you can receive up to two items under the program, per shipment.  These arrive in tamper proof plastic bags, so you can feel the firmness, assess its size, etc.  If you don't want it, you just put it back in the box and ship it back (return postage paid).  If you open the tamper proof bag, you've bought the item.

I personally have found the sizing of toys to be inconsistent and complicated to do online.  I ordered three new things over the weekend, two of them the same item but different sizes so I could compare.  

P.S.  I'm nervous about the Acorn

I have confidence in you. I have a Monster Training Plug from Mr-s-leather. It’s no longer listed on their site. So I measured circumference of mine—about 11.5”—so comparable to Acorn XL. I have been able to take it multiple times. Currently, I can’t even get close. Need to get my starter plugs out and get back to practicing.
