Cheap Motel for a day of fun in Durham-Raleigh area?

Hi all. Does anyone know of any cheap hotel/motel for hookups during day hours in the areas between Durham and Raleigh? Looking to set-up a "date" but should be in a "safe" place where I could pay in cash for the room.
Any help/info greatly appreciated.
