Takes me back in times when I stayed at the gay gust houses in Key West. Than there were the Sunday Tea Dance party’s on Sunday afternoon that often led to the nude pool party after. Fond memories, at least the ones I remember. Ha

there used to be a a gay 'resort in Saint Petersburg, FL., called the Flamingo Resort, and Sunday Tea Dances were the rage...the pool was always full on Sundays with the boys and girls spinning their asses off to house music and top 20 hits. That much I do  remember. Used to live somewhat nearby, in Gulfport, and the houses were nice and old-style bungalows.  I don't think I was ever there when it got to be nude pool parties afterwards. It's closed since.

I spent many Sunday afternoons at the Flamingo. I remember the crowds fondly. Me and friends also frequented El Goya in Ybor City back in the day. We were frequent patrons on quarter night; I think it was on a Tuesday. After $2 or $3 dollars worth of drinks, it’s hard to remember. Ha
