Not exactly: as far as I experienced, it's not the ranking but the status. If you're poz you have no limits, otherwise you're forced to restrictions...
I'm kidding of course, for "status" I mean the label of "new member" you have now. When you upgrade to "junior member" you still have limitations but fewer, and when switch to Members, you might have no longer limit in messages.
Or at least, even when junior member, you SHOULD not have message limits if you do not post anything publicly during the day.
Personally I am waiting to become senior member, but this status change does not depend on you, but on the algorythm. If breeding zone's bot understands you try to "cheat", you might get downgraded. I'm not sure of this but I'd suggest you to be careful.
