The idea of certain fantasy scenarios can be...intense. There's a reason those themes pop up in fiction and, let's be honest, in some of our more private thoughts. But when we're talking about real life, normalizing incest just doesn't fly. The genetic risks are a serious concern; we're talking about a significant increase in the potential for birth defects and genetic disorders, which can lead to a lifetime of suffering.
Beyond the fantasy element, and the heat that some might associate with it, we have to consider the very real potential for exploitation and abuse. Power imbalances are a huge red flag, especially when minors or vulnerable individuals are involved. And even in situations where everyone is technically an adult, the social and emotional fallout can be devastating. It's one thing to explore a fantasy in a safe, consensual space; it's another to try and normalize something that has such a high potential for harm in the real world.
