This is about the actual party and my opinion of it this year. Please feel free to add your comments. Last year in the VIP area, you would get free water. With water at $5 a pop the difference in the regular ticket and the VIP ticket is worth it on water alone not including all the other amenities. Usually these include private shows, hanging with porn stars, private DJ, etc. This year was completely different. The BP takes place at Roseland Ballroom and usually the VIP area is a sectioned off part of the 2nd floor. This year it was the ENTIRE SECOND FLOOR. I really have no idea why. This caused the downstairs to be packed beyond belief while the upstairs never filled completely. No free water but oddly enough free gin? Huh? Early in the night I had figured the ticket difference wasn't worth it. Next, the shows that happen during the party usually occur within visible distance from the dance floor. They generally occur on stages built around the perimeter of the dance floor so that most people can see them without having to crowd around one area. This year, you could only see one show from the floor. Tarps and fabric separated the stages so if you weren't able to see the shows from where you stood, you had absolutely NO idea they were going on. I missed out on half the shows I wanted to see. No idea if the cute little blond twink that gets fisted up to a shoulder was even there. Sex - Roseland Ballroom has been slowly but surely renovating itself. THANK YOU JESUS. It's such a great space but fell apart pretty badly. They have been giving the BP some issues with "Play Areas" I can remember two years ago helping clean up from the black party to pay for my ticket (broke ass boys do this) and actually having to remove temporary carpet that was taped down to cover the floors from "spills." Was horrible. Anyway, issues arose and there was no designated "play area." WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? The sex is what makes the BP different from other circuit parties. You can go to plenty of circuit parties and hear the same music but you cannot go to many and have nonstop sex out in the open. The BP did have two slings set up in same location as the five they had last year. Next to that was an open area of the dance floor separated from the actual dance portion of the floor from giant tarps/fabric hanging down from the ceiling. Well, this is where the guys decided to have the open air sex. THIS DID NOT WORK AT ALL. It was a caged in area. Railing on one side with the curtain on the opposite. Then stages opposite each other on the other two sides. There were small areas to walk in and out. So basically, it was wall to wall men attempting to have sex. Ha Ha Ha, couldn't breath, couldn't move, couldn't see a dick to even blow it. It was horrible. As for the sex in the VIP area, yes we had space there at least. There was a seating area surrounding a round table where strippers would dance. I, as well as others, just ended up bent over on the table getting fucked as the dancers wored it above us. Later after the Rent Boy Hotel (rooms set up for pay boys to use) closed, we ended up using those rooms instead but remember, not many people b/c of amount of VIP tickets. Music - No complaints about it. I take it that if you went just to dance the night away, you probably enjoyed yourself. That's my rant.
