For anyone else who has taken a once daily treatment, how long did your GI symptoms last? The doc says that they will most likely go away, but I keep forgetting to ask how long. Quote
bearbandit Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 One of the components of stribild is tenofovir which is notorious for causing bloating and farting. I'd recommend setting a time limit (say a couple of months, maybe three) and if you're still getting problems, see you doctor about a change of prescription. The idea is to be a well patient, not a good patient. For what it's worth I never got over the GI effects of tenofovir... Quote

TigerMilner Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 I'm on a one pill a day regime, Complera, and I as sick as I was at first, GI problems were never an issue. Maybe you should ask about it. Stribald is 4 meds, Complera and Atripla are 3. Quote
