PrEP and libido?

Lately I notice my libido is off, quite a bit. It could just be a bit of SADD at play as we approach winter solstice, but I am wondering if my being on PrEP is a factor? Anyone else on PrEP with diminished libido?

How long have you been on PrEP? I'm only a week in. So far I haven't noticed any side effects. I've been having less sex than the few weeks before, but that's because I started jerking off again and I'm back to doing that a couple-few times per day.

Started PrEP in August. Libido may have nothing to do with Truvada. Just checking to see if it might be...

Could be just the time of year... Amongst people with HIV there hasn't been a drug that's been implicated in loss of libido since high dose ritonavir, which was in use around the turn of the century and was known by us, though the doctors denied for a while, as chemical castration. I've been through enough anti-retrovirals that the online health trainer at the organisation I volunteer for refers to me as a drugs whore. There's the remotest chance the the FTC component of truvada could be disturbing sleep with libido-squashing dreams (extremely rarely it can have a very slight psychoactive effect, but this effect is so rare that it's only been noted by people using the drug, and then after considerable effort in searching for others).

Its probably just the season, Mine is noticeably off too, but it always goes down this time of year. I'm also getting laid more because I'm seeing someone, so I'm cumming more. lol

I REALLY doubt its the truvada.

Thanks. True, nothing I have read indicates Truvada would interfere with libido. Still, good to ask...
