Some Lubes Damage Rectal Cells and Increase HIV activity

Recommended Posts

I found this interesting:

The implication is that some lubes might increase risk of HIV transmission I guess. Personally I prefer cum/spit as lube but for those who like lubes you might avoid/seek out these depending upon what you are looking for.

This is interesting. Some very in depth study needs to be done on this because a 2001 initial study found that Astroglide had been found to block the replication of the human immunodeficiency virus in lab tests.

Unfortunately because of the topic and other issues funding to do additional testing never followed.

Well I did some research on this lube, there is a more reliable site from Canada govern here for your to read and conclude that Astroglide in which containing the chemical called nonoxynol-9 cannot prevent HIV transmission. Another chemicals like efavirenz and mandelic acid have stronger evidence to blocking HIV transmission but still under investigation.
