Roughhouse at Spa Excess

Yesterday afternoon, I went over to Spa Excess to attend Rough House. This Rough House was the first one in just over two years. Whereas the March 2020 Rough House was held in the now-demolished Club 120, this one was held in Spa Excess.

It was a success. The numbers were certainly there: Perhaps a couple hundred people went, easily surpassing the bathhouse's normal Sunday afternoon attendance, and at one point the lines for entry were big enough that one friend decided not to go. Plenty of people went, and I had lots of fun.

I think this location is an improvement, not least because Spa Excess is in good shape, has a licensed bar, and has douching stations. I heard that Rough House organizers might be looking for a different place, but really, Spa Excess at the south end of the gaybourhood is probably as good as you can get.

The only problem with the location of the party inside a bathhouse, with its dozens of private rooms, is that this dynamic tends to make private a sex party that at Club 120 was quite public. Still, the upstairs darkroom and maze were well-populated throughout; public play was an option.

I've enjoyed plenty of Friday nights at Spaexcess and mostly in the dark room maze. My issue was that I'm a top guy, and they kept mistaking me for a bottom.
